🎉 I am here with a new series for 'Metanoia'. Presenting to you 🎉

'The Best People'.

The world seems more often than not cruel and sad but there are a lot of beautiful people.

There are people who always remember your birthday and wish you every year, people who save your favourite spot in your bus, people who remember every little detail you tell them. They are the best people in the entire world.

In this series, we'll be talking about those people, being grateful for such people around us and be one of them ourselves. I'll be sharing something I experience, stories from the Internet and I'd love it if you share your stories too. We all need kindness and this is me doing my little part.

This series is going to be all things wholesome, beautiful and precious. I'm so excited for this!🌈🌼

Just a little context before I share my story

Just a little context before I share my story. I am a content writer for a blog that couple of kids in my high school created. Now, I don't know those kids, personally. I had never talked to them when I was in high school. When I saw that there were about to have a blog on Instagram, I messaged them if I could write for them. So, that's how it all started.

Here's the catch.🥵 All those kids are the bosses of extroverts. They can talk to anyone and everyone. They have the energy of a freaking nucleus and damn, they always have something to talk about. We have video call meetings now and then, and often the topic strays off to something totally unrelated. So, it'll be them fighting for the spotlight while I'll be internally sighing and looking for excuses to leave.

Today (25th Nov 2020) was one such day. They soon slipped into their extroverted zone and kept aside the things they wanted to decide for the blog. I just sat there looking at my screen. I felt like I didn't belong there and despite me wanting to blend in with me, it's beyond my capabilities. No one cared to ask me if I was okay or make me comfortable.

I then remembered one of my friends back in school. She is the person who will ALWAYS ALWAYS include people. No matter who it is. She makes everyone in the room be a part of the room. That's something I would always try to do. It's ✨little things✨ like these that make us human beings.

As an introvert myself, I know how tough it is to blend in with people

As an introvert myself, I know how tough it is to blend in with people. Once the ice is broken, it's easy peasy but breaking the ice for us is super tough. So, if you find someone like that in your friend circle, please make them feel they belong. Ask them to join the conversation, to add their own views or just be more comfortable. It's a little thing but for that person, it stays.

This is not only valid for people in your friend circle but anyone and everyone. See your grandma who is alone in that family function, your single aunt, your driver, your house help? Be it anyone - if you see someone needs a smile, a few words and a 'how are you', please be that person to give them all.🌈
