The unexpected position. [ Completed ]

Chapter 12

“Hey, isn’t today a holiday? Why are you here?” she got startled as we suddenly
approached her.
“Ah...I-I just ca-came here... cuz...I forgot something!”
We all looked at her suspiciously.
“Well okay, can you tell us which one is Wujian’s locker?” Win asked
Her eyes widened. If she was afraid before, we clearly saw that this question made her more afraid.
“Um, Wu-Wujian? Ye-yeah sure. This’s hers” she showed it to us. Then left the
place as soon as possible without saying anything.
“Wow she’s weird” Tay said.
“Guys look at this. This’s a whole mess” Jane called us. It was messy indeed. Her
books were just everywhere. And there was some kind of an ink stain all over her
belongings. There was a sentence written on her locker’s door with the same ink.
“Idiot! Who would want to be friend with you?”
“Okay, that’s a really bad thing to say to a student. Who would do that?” Yoon
said, her tone sounded upset.
“Her classmates had done it. They had bullied her”
We all jumped because of the sudden voice we heard. When we turned around it was Andrew.
“How did you know?” Kao asked.
“I used my potential. I manipulated the electricity and logged into the school’s
CCTV system. I saw video clips of her classmates bullying her”
“But how come you’re here?” I asked.
“Oh? I went to the mountain and found a red ribbon and Wujian’s school identity
card”
“Okay, now we need to find out why she was murdered” Tay said.
“Then let’s go as teams” But before I say anything else Andrew said,
“I’ll go alone. I can take care of myself”
“O-okay then, I’ll go with Tay. Yoon and Kao go to this way. Lastly Win, you go
with Jane on that way”
“What? Kai are you kidding me? I won’t go with this monkey” as always Win
started.
“I don’t want to go with you either”
“Then don’t”
“I won’t”
“Guys come on, don’t you two want to go home soon? Just cooperate please. Say as Kai said” Yoon said threateningly. They unwillingly agreed as they didn’t have any other choice.
“Wait before we go, do you all have your phones?” Tay asked.
“Yes”
“Perfect! Always keep them with you” then we went on our separate ways.
We went to a place which looked like an office. There were a set of certificates,
medals and files in a cupboard. To our surprise, all most all the certificates were
awarded to a girl named Ming. Who’s this Ming? But what took our attention was
all the certificates were destroyed by someone. They were teared apart.
“Hey Kai, check this out”
I walked towards him.
“This is a school’s record book with all students’ details. I checked the whole book but there’re no Wujian’s details and there’s this one page that the student’s face is not clear. Someone has scratched the whole page. I think this’s Wujian’s page”
“Hey, check the class of the student” I asked.
“8/4”
We decided to go and check that student’s classroom. After a while we were able to find it and first thing we heard was a sound of someone coughing.
“Andrew?” I called out to the very familiar face. He turned around and I could see his nose was bleeding.
“Oh my God, what happened to you?” I ran to his him but he didn’t let me even
check.
“It’s nothing. I just felt tired and my nose started to bleed” he took a handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped his nose.
“Is it because you over used your power?” Tay asked thoughtfully.
“Maybe that’s your side effect. Wait, I’ll call Jane” But before I do anything he
grabbed my elbow and stopped me.
“No need. I’m okay now”
“But you-”
“I said everything’s okay. Let it go” he said sternly and I didn’t have any other
choice. “Why are you guys here anyway?” he asked.
“Oh we found this record book from an office. And we found out that this’s
Wujian’s classroom.”
“Did you find anything interesting here?” I asked from Andrew.
“No, I just came here too”
“Okay, then let’s try to find something” We started searching.

Win and Jane at Wujian’s dorm

“So now you’re telling me that you can’t climb on to this cupboard” Jane said,
crossing her arms over her chest.
“I sure can. Pfft any boy can climb to a cupboard. It’s just that I hurt my leg
yesterday. I don’t want my injury to get worse”
Jane rolled her eyes and thought, ‘He thinks only boys can do it’
“You know what Win?”
“What?”
“When you generalize”
“Yes?”
“You tell general lies” she scoffed at him and climb on to the cupboard.
“YOU MONKEY, I’M NOT LYING” Win angrily yelled at her.
“Whatever”
“Hey look what I found” she got down from the cupboard and moved it a little bit.
“What?” Win joined to help her, only to find out a secret tunnel behind the
cupboard.
“Let’s go and check where this goes to”
“Um...” Jane looked at the dark tunnel unsurely.
“Come on monkey, we don’t have much time”
“Alright! I also need to get away from you as soon as possible. So let’s go” They both entered the tunnel.

At Wujian’s classroom

“Why can’t we find anything” I said with a frustrated sigh.
“I’m so tired. I feel like dying” Tay leaned his whole body towards the teacher’s
desk. While doing so he accidently pressed the statue of globe.
Suddenly, the whiteboard pushed into the side and a tunnel entrance appeared.
“Oh my God what’s this?” both Andrew and I ran towards the newly opened door.
“Wait, I found that?” Tay asked dumbly, scratching his head.
“Well accidently” I teased.
“Hey, it still counts”
“Stop with the noise. Let’s go through the tunnel” Andrew got in first.
After a while we could see the end of the tunnel. It brought us to a room which
could assume as an office. The room was so dark and we were unable to see
anything. I was about to turn on the torch in my phone but suddenly a hand
touched my shoulder.
“Tay if this’s you, stop fooling around” I said in a trembling voice, but in my mind
I really wished this hand to be Tay’s, not any ghost’s living in this world.
“Kai? Is this you?”
“Kao?”
Suddenly the room lit up. Andrew has turned the lights on.
“Thank God! It’s you guys” Yoon let out a huge sigh. But everyone tensed again
when we started to hear another noise all of sudden.
“Wh-what’s that?”
“I-it’s coming behind this board” It sounded like someone’s trying to push the board. Everyone except for Andrew ran to the other side of the room. Andrew went towards the board and took it away. We all curled in the corner expecting a huge
monster to come out.
But instead, two bodies fall to the floor.
“Ouch you big monkey, get away from me. You’re too heavy” It was not hard for us to recognize the voice.
“Win? Jane?”
“Hello guys! It’s so nice to see you again. I feel sick seeing only this face for all
most an hour” Jane complained.
“Hey, do you think you’re any better?” Tsk these two would never stop.
I explained how we got into here and Jane explained their experience.
“Well I saw a vending machine and I swear I only wanted one burger. But instead a door opened and ta da, we’re here” Kao said. “Why do I feel like this’s a trap? It was weird as we all got into one place despite
how far we were from each other.
