"Godsdammit, are y'all really gonna make me be the thimble?"
"Will, dude, it's just a game."
"Leo! What do you mean? Monopoly is literally life and death!" Annabeth was being dead-ass, though everyone though she was kidding. No one wanted to know how Monopoly went a the Chase's house.
"Guys, calm down, let's just start," said the cheese-faced son of Zeus we call Jason.
"Fine, whatever," Annabeth sighed. She was going to win, everyone knew it, but she never realized how cruel she was to her fallen comrades once they knelt before her throne begging for mercy.
Everyone rolled their dice. This was the first time they could play monopoly in a while. Percy was on a quest; Percy was never not on a quest. Frank was napping in his cabin. He shape-shifted into a cat and got into the catnip in the infirmary. You may wonder why there was weed for cats in the infirmary. We don't ask questions about the infirmary; asking required talking to an Apollo camper. No one wanted to risk being serenaded instead of answered.
The game was started. Nico was teamed with Hazel. (#siblinggoals) Their powers didn't help them much. Leo, being the McShizzle he is, threatened to set things on fire. Arson, the best ultimatum. Piper could Charmspeak people into trading with her.
Wait, that shouldn't be allowed! Let me check the rule book real quick. Okay, it doesn't have anything in it about demi-gods or usage of mind-manipulating
powers. Monopoly should be made more inclusive! Hmph.
Annabeth was practically a genius. She could analyze the value and odds of any logistical situation in her head. Meanwhile, I need a calculator to know 5+2. Will was too kind to be brutal in Monopoly. The kid was smart, sure, but he was generous. He usually ended in a respectable third or fourth place. Now,
the last player was Jason. The ugly, basic white bastard he is couldn't even make it around the board twice. I would tell him to grow some brains, but I don't think there's enough room in his head with his ego taking up all that room. Oh, of course, we can't forget the indents the brick put in his head. To all the Brason shippers out there, Jason doesn't even deserve the brick.
After Jason's bankruptcy, all of the properties on the board were owned. This, of course, is where things got spicy. There was one monopoly, which went to Annabeth. Leo had no idea what he was doing. He had every fourth property. Hazel had accumulated about $1700 for her team with her power of controlling riches. Nico and Hazel had a few middle-value properties. Piper had properties all throughout the board, though they made more sense than Leo's. They were all even. Alas, the death threats began.
"What the actual fuck, Nico?!" Annabeth was pissed at Nico's preposterous proposal. [No, not to Will :,(]
"Look, all I'm saying is if I give you the electric company and $200 for the last green I need, it's
fair."
"No?!" the blonde exclaimed in pure rage, "You have enough money to add an obscene amount of houses if you get a monopoly?! And I don't even fucking have Water Works?! It would completely destroy the balance-"
Hazel put her hand on the raving daughter of Athena's shoulder, "Breathe hun, breathe."
Annabeth was filled with rage. Her nostrils flared as the Minotaur's did. She gave a look that dared anyone to speak.
