Memories [DISCONTINUED]

Baby day

TW: mentioned panic attack, anxiety, Remus being himself and fluff, lots and lots of fluff.

3rd POV
It was a busy day there in mindpalace, Thomas had recently gone for an audition and that meant that Virgil had been working extra hard. The thing is that Virgil had no idea that this was happening and how much anxiety Thomas was feeling went to Virgil through his nap. Naturally that the anxiety Thomas was feeling went to Virgil but stronger, strong enough for him to wake up mid-panic attack and regress instinctually. Virgil let out a heart-breaking wail, tears pouring down his cheeks and scrambled under his galaxy blanket, trying to shake the thoughts that were screaming at him away. The door burst open to reveal Deceit and Remus who was holding Smashington the 2nd, both of them looking panicked but calmed down to find that no was in the room. They quickly spotted Virgil's shaking form under the blanket. Deceit approached the bed trying to keep his footsteps as soft as he could, he gently pulled away the blanket to reveal a crying little. Once Virgil saw Deceit he instantly made grabby hands towards them, whining and Deceit instantly pulled him into his arms, holding him closely. Virgil just buried his head into Deceits shoulder, hiccupping and sobbing. Remus quickly came over and ran his fingers through his hair, muttering encouraging words to the anxious little.

Ten minutes later Virgil was finally calm enough and he pulled his face away to face the other two who were wearing worried expressions. Virgil wiped his nose with his sleeve but Remus pulled his arm away and grabbed a tissue, wiping it for him. "Stormcloud what happened?" Deceit asked softly. "Scawy" Virgil sniffed, tearing up again but Deceit quickly bounced him a little. "Hey, hey shhh. Look there's now scary here anymore. Its just ReeRee and I okay?" Deceit reassured. Virgil nodded and leaned his head on Deceit's shoulder. Just then Virgil's stomach let out a loud grumble which made Remus and Deceit laugh and Virgil giggling. Remus rubbed his stomach. "Someone hungry hmm?" He teased and Virgil just poked his tongue at him. "Well let's go get some food but first" Deceit started, looking at Virgil who looked back. "How old are you feeling my emo baby?" He asked. Virgil held up a finger but looked at it before putting it his knuckle in his mouth and sucking on it. Deceit tutted and asked Remus to grab his paci but Remus waved him off. "Already got it" He said, taking Virgil's finger out of his mouth and putting the galaxy paci in then proceeding to tickle Virgil's stomach making both Deceit's and Remus's hearts swell at Virgil's giggle.

They quickly got Virgil into a nappy and his black cat onesie and went downstairs to grab some breakfast. As Remus got breakfast together, he couldn't help but sigh happily, he remembered the last time Virgil was like this. It was only a few days before he went off to join the lights and back then they were they were close and Deceit and Remus were so close to gaining the balls to ask out Virgil but sadly...Virgil had gone...they had missed their shot. Remus, however, was determined to ask out Virgil once he got his memory back, both he and Deceit had agreed to do it. Remus was snapped out of his mind when he realised that he had gotten mashed banana on his shirt and Deceit, with Virgil in his arms, had just walked in and looked at Remus with a raised eyebrow. Remus shook his head. "I've got no clue either so don't ask" He stated and Deceit nodded. Remus mashed up the other banana, adding some raspberries and blueberries in it and heating up a bottle of milk while adding honey and a few drops of vanilla. Remus swapped out with Deceit so that Deceit was feeding the little because if Remus did it he would make a him look like a painting. Deceit picked up the spoon filled with mush and did the aeroplane making Virgil giggle, jumping up and down, opening up his mouth.

In between eating, Virgil would occasionally babble randomly to Remus which Remus would pretend to know what he was talking about. After they all had finished their breakfast, Remus and Deceit took Virgil out to Remus' side of the imagination and going to the park. They were taking Emile's advice and going to the places they had gone when Virgil was with them. As mentioned beforehand, when Virgil had regressed to this age they had taken him to the exact same park they are headed too now and Deceit and Remus were hopping for him to remember because Virgil had left a little something there. They had arrived at the park that only had a swing set and jungle gym and Virgil instantly pointed to the swing. " 'Wing!" He squealed. Deceit chuckled and put him on and pushed him gently, Remus standing in front just in case. Virgil started laughing as he started swinging before shouting. "Higher! higher!" Deceit smiled and pushed him just a little bit more making him swing just a little higher but that was enough to send Virgil's regressed mind into happiness. Uncontrollable giggles had burst from the smaller sides mouth, swinging his legs.

After a little bit of that, Remus had gone over to the tree where there was a piece of wood stuck in the ground. "Hey little stormcloud lookie here there looks like there's treasure here!" He exclaimed in fake excitement. Virgil gasped and hopped off the swing, instantly running over to where Remus was...well waddling over, with Deceit following behind. Virgil then plopped onto the ground once he reached where Remus was. "treawsure dig?" Virgil questioned, looking up at Remus, his eyes sparkling with hope and Remus couldn't hold in his 'awe'. "Yup but first we have to have shovels" Remus said waving his hand and instantly there were kiddie shovels and buckets around him. Virgil picked one up with interest before trying to put it in his mouth but Remus stopped him before he could and shook his head. "No that yucky stormcloud. Watch me" Remus grabbed one of the shovels and started digging up the dirt underneath the wood that was embedded into the ground. Virgil watched and started to do the same but with a little bit of a struggle. Deceit was pulled in by Remus and in no time they reached a little purple butterfly lunch box and Virgil's eyes lit up, pulling it close to his chest. "Lunchie!" He exclaimed. Remus and Deceit looked at him in surprise...Does he remember? they asked themselves.

"Well lets open it to fine the treasure" Deceit smiled and Virgil nodded but frowning after when he doesn't remember how to open it. Remus chuckled and helped him open it to reveal a crystal, a clear purple amethyst. See this amethyst was the first crystal he found when he was looking for buried treasure and so they put it the lunch box they had brought and put it there as a memoir. Virgil picked it up from the box, an awestruck expression was etched onto his face as he turned it around looking at it. Deceit and Remus smiled sadly at the scene in front as memories rushed through their heads. "This was the first treasure you had found, you were so happy that day" Deceit said, only half-aware that Virgil could understand him. But Virgil held up the crystal and screamed "MINE" to Deceit making both the dark sides jump in shock. There was silence for a bit before Remus spoke up. "Do you...do you remember little one?" Remus asked but Virgil just frowned and tilted his head like his kitten June did occasionally. Deceit shook his head and looked at Remus. "We'll have to wait until he leaves his headspace." He said. Remus pouted but nodded.

They played at the park for a little bit more before it was getting late in the day or well imagination which meant that in the real world it was getting dark. Once again there was a food fight or well rather Virgil made a mess of his food and Remus couldn't help but smear the food onto his face which Deceit had slapped him on the head for making him let out a screech. But Deceit glared at him with such ferocity that made Remus cower back. "Do NOT make me throw a cup at your head Remus Duke" He threatened. Remus gulped and looked at Virgil who was splashing his hands into the pile of apple sauce on his highchair. "I think I'm in trouble here Virgie. I just got full named" He said. Virgil just giggled and placed his sauce covered hand on his head smearing it in his hair. Remus just groaned and Deceit rolled his eyes. "You've had worse in your hair, suck it up." Deceit scoffed. Remus looked at Deceit, wiggling his eyebrows. "Are you implying something here De~" He asked and Deceit blushed, grabbing a unicorn mug (I have one and its amazing) and throwing it at his head. Remus yelped and ducked, cackling when it didn't hit him but yelped when Deceit started throwing more.

"GET BACK HERE YOU BITCH!!!"

Virgil was there laughing and giggling thinking this was a game...thank goodness for his innocent brain.
