The Riddle: The Philosopher Stone ( Shifting Script/ Harry Potter Fan-fiction )

Chapter 40:

It was time to leave. Everyone gathered their stuff and started to head on the train. Before I left Neville and Luna, I decided to first give them a present.

Luna: " What's this?"

Luna said softly, as usual.

Me: " It's essential oils! They help make things smell nicer, and sometimes they can help make you feel better. Especially lavender."

Luna smiled at the ten piece set. She took out her free arm to hug me.

Luna: " Thank you Hazel, it smells really nice. I'll be using this during the summer."

Me: " No problem Luna. I can't wait to see you next year."

We separated our hug and smiled to each other

Luna: " Me too, you can write to me if you would like. My address is in the O.W.L. book."

The O.W.L. book is basically like the phone book. I nodded and we went our separate ways. I found Neville before he boarded the train and ran to him, saying

Me: " Neville! Neville! One minute!"

He looked at me and said

Neville: " Hi Hazel. It sucks that we don't get to be in the same seating area. What's wrong?"

I was digging through my side bag when I saw his present. It was wrapped in brown paper and had a string bow on it. It wasn't big, it was kind of small.

Me: " Here you go! Open it!"

He grabbed the box with a small smile

Neville: " For... for me? Thank you!"

He then started ripping the wrapping paper off the box, and when he could see the label he looked at me with wide eyes

Neville: " A beginner magical garden! I've been asking my gran to get me these for months! It even has Moly in it!"

I giggled at his reaction. I'm glad he enjoyed it since it was out of stock everywhere in Diagon Alley. I got it during spring break just for him.

Me: " I'm happy you like it! Well, I guess this is goodbye."

He quickly came up and hugged me, which I didn't expect.

Neville: " Thank you Hazel, again. It means a lot to me. I'll see you during the first day of school again?"

I put my arms around his back, finally getting the message

Me: " Of course you will. Bye Neval."

He chuckled a little and wiped a tear from his eye, and I did the same. We went our separate ways then. I was finally ready to meet Harry, Ron, Sage and Hermione who were talking to Hagrid. I was putting my trunk away when I saw Draco.

Draco: " Hey Hazel. Guess this is it."

He seemed pretty upset, did he forget that Sage lived with him?

Me: " No it isn't Draco."

I put my trunk in the compartment and looked back at him, he looked confused.

Me: " Draco, i'll be coming to the Malfoy Manor every week, Sage and you live there don't you?"

He then got the message and said

Draco: " I-I knew that... I knew that, I was joking with you."

I laughed at him trying to cover up his mistake. I went up to him and hugged him. He gladfully followed my actions and put his hands on my waist and lower back, I rested my head on his shoulder, just wanting to take a whiff of the minty cologne he always had on. I separated from him and decided to play with him. I already knew he still had a crush on me, so I kissed him on the cheek. When I pulled back he was blushing. He looked like he painted his cheeks pink. He stood there trying to figure out what his reaction would be as I said

Me: " See you later lover boy..."

And I walked away. It's not like I had a crush on him, because I knew for certain that I would never get with him. I looked back halfway to the entrance of the train, he was holding the cheek I kissed him on, he was so cute standing like that. In a friendly way. I finally stood in the entrance, still outside. Me and the four others waved goodbye to Hagrid as the train was moving away. I watched Hogwarts look smaller and smaller on the sunny day with a few clouds in the baby blue sky. This would be the best view I would see by far. There was one thing that I knew, and it's that Hogwarts would always be there to welcome you home.

Sage: " C'mon Hazel!"

I quickly blinked, I forgot that I could fall any second now.

Me: " Coming!"
