Chapter 23:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~October 31, 1991~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fred: " Come on Hazel! Come on Sage! You guys take too long to get dressed! We have to get going!"

It was October 31, 1991. Not only was it Halloween, but it was me and Sage's birthday. Yah yah, it was coincidental. Sage, Fred, George, Ron, Harry, Oliver, Draco, Luna, Hermione, and I were going to go and trick or treat with Aarya in the muggle world. We asked Neville to join, but he had plans to hang out with his Gran. Neville was going to be a mouse and her Gran was going to be a block of swish cheese. It was adorable, but he was anxious about it. Anyways, Fred's costume was going to be a Vampire, George was a Zombie, Ron was Frakenstein, Harry was a werewolf, Oliver was a muggle 'frat boy' names 'chad', Draco decided not to dress up as he thought they were for baby muggles, Luna was dressed as a jellyfish so she could spread awareness while in the muggle world, and Hermione, well, Hermione was a classic muggle witch. Meaning, she dressed up as what muggle's thought witches looked like. She looked like the witch from the movie Wizard of Oz. More about me and Sage, we were dressing up as an angel and devil. We put on our outfits in the stalls where Moaning Myrtle was. Luckily, she went to go and scare off some children outside so that we could have some privacy to ourselves.

Draco: " I'm just trying to understand this, we are going to a muggle world and go get free candy when you barge into their house?"

I was in one stall. I was just finishing up by adding my wings.
Me: " Dr-MALFOY! I'm still having trouble with this whole last name situation ugh. You don't just go inside and spell them to make them give you candy! Muggles are really nice during this time and hand us the sweets when we say ' Trick or Treat!' It's that simple."

Than Fred blurted out

Fred: " So they can give you a trick? Why have we never done this Georgie."

George was just laughing.

Me: " No! It's just a saying!"

I then put on my halo headband. I was done with my outfit, I could hear Sage yell.

Sage: " Is everyone ready because Hazel and I are done."

Everyone yelled some sort of yes.

Ron: " Hermione, what's up with you?"

I could hear loud clacks repeating on the tile floor. I guess that was Hermione walking in.

Sage: " Before we do anything else, I want you guys to see us!"

They counted down from five and when they hit one, we came out. We posed next to each other, making expressions that either made us look sweet or ignorant. Me and Sage gave each other a side hug saying

Me and Sage: " Happy Birthday Sage/Hazel!"

We could see all the boys look at us in awe. I saw Luna in the corner pretending to swim in the air bobbing her head. Such an innocent girl she is. I then turned to see Draco change from his position of looking bored to looking at something he wants. I didn't know why he was looking at me like that. Did I have too much lipgloss on? Ooh, or maybe I had a spot on my outfit that had another splotch of color. I was getting anxious and started to say

Me: " Ugh, great, there's something on me, isn't there? I'm sorry Sage, i'm just going to wear my last year M & M costume and-"

But before I could continue, Oliver, Ron, Draco, and George said

G/R/D/O: " You're beautiful/stunning/gorgeous/ cute."

I started to smile. That's why they were looking at me like that.

Draco: " But I'm surprised that you're an angel, you're always rude and demanding, yet again, Sage is the literal demon."

The boys started to laugh except for Fred. He's such a drooler.

Sage: " Thank you Malfoy! At least I know that my method of scaring you is working!"

She said, as if it were a compliment. Fred back her up by saying

Fred: " I mean, considering the fact me and george here are the school troublemakers, I say the devil is as hot as the fire it burns."

I gaped my mouth. It was so obvious that Fred was flirting with Sage. Sage is so blind, you could give her a walking cane and she would act as if she couldn't feel it.

Luna: " Jellyfish in the muggle world seem harmful, but really, their big squishy creatures that try and protect themselves. Has anyone seen my wrackspurt goggles?"

We all laughed at her, already Luna?

I could see Hermione now. Oh Merlin. She was hideous looking.

Hermione: " As a muggle born, who has lived in the muggle world their whole life and who is more responsible,"

She says looking at all of us

Hermione: " I'm coming to assist you, only so I can be precautious since none of you guys are going to."

We all nodded, agreeing with what she was saying

Harry: " You know Hermione, I lived with the Dursleys' too? My muggle uncle, aunt and cousin?"

Hermione replied to him with rolling her eyes.

I ignored it and finally Luna found her goggles.

Me: " Alright everyone, I need everyone to hold each other's hand so we can Aparrate to our friend Aarya's house. Now please!"

Fred was near Sage, holding her right hand. I went between them and slapped Fred's hand. He let go and moved his hand back and forth as a sign to show he was in pain. I said

Me: " No Fred! I always go for Sage's right hand. You take her left hand. Make it stick in your brain."

He said under his breath

Fred: " And witches or wizards would wonder why you're in Hufflepuff."

I said

Me: " I heard that!"

And then, I felt a hand close in my right hand. It was Draco. He was looking as if he didn't want to be here, but I could see him turn blush pink. I smiled at him, then looked down. Sage saw what was happening and said.

Sage: " Nope! Malfoy, go and switch places with... Oliver."

I was bursting with red. Oliver? Really? Not my crush! Oliver glady let go of Ron and Harry's hand and walked up to me in confidence. Draco scoffed and gently let go of my hand. I already missed his touch. But then I felt Oliver's hand pair with mine. It felt good again to feel another person I was fond of touch my hand. I looked over to Draco's direction, he said.

Draco: " If you do anything stupid Pottah and Weasel, you will be hearing from my father. I don't think you would like it if your father suddenly lost his job, would you?"

Ron looked down, seeming defeat. Harry just rolled his eyes while Draco grabbed Ron and Harry's hand. I could hear Fred say,

Fred: " Before we go, can we use magic?"

I said

Me: " Yes, as long as you don't use anything that people can be scared for. It has seemed muggle like, so that we won't get in trouble. By the way, Aarya is also called Ari and she doesn't know ANYTHING about magic and our real lives. She thinks we came back from a Scottish boarding school. Ok, ready to leave?"

Everyone seemed excited to use magic in the muggle world and trick people with it. Fred interrupted again

Fred: " By the way, happy birthday Sage and Hazel, thanks for being the girl twins we never had."

Everyone laughed, including Draco. I took out my wand and then we disapperated to the front of a Muggle house.
