Chapter 14:

We finished our homework two hours later. I had to meet up with Draco at the library so we could help each other out with the Potions homework we had to complete. I was packing up my stuff. I took everything I needed to fulfill our homework assignment. I went to my common room without saying any sort of goodbye. Hermione and Luna went down to the Great Hall to eat. Sage left because she needed to meet up with Fred as well. She didn't tell me where though. I went downstairs so I could leave out of the portrait. When I reached the end of the stairs, I accidentally looked at the couch. I saw Katie and Cedric. What. Was. I. Seeing. I blinked my eyes a bunch of times. I stopped walking. Cedric gave a long kiss to Katie Bell. They weren't making out, just a long kiss. I could feel my eyes fill with water. I gulped. Cedric stopped kissing Katie and smiled at her, Katie was staring at me. I was looking at Cedric. I didn't care about Katie. Cedric turned his head to see me. His face was in shock. So much was happening today. We were about to kiss in charms until he got hurt, and then I find out, he liked Katie Bell and kissed her? I ran out before I could hear anything he had to say. He was obviously having too much fun with Katie, why did he need me? I slammed the portrait door, but it didn't close properly. Cedric came out to the hallway. And was trying to catch up to me. I was speed walking, I did not care about what he was saying. Not only did he do something bad to me, but to Katie as well, he flirted with me, didn't that make her mad? He then pulled my arm, but I pulled it away grabbing my bag handle. He kept saying

Cedric: " Wait Hazel! Would you just hear me out?"

I turned around, feeling burned and could feel the tears streaming down my cheeks. I pushed Cedric in the chest.

Me: " Merlin Cedric, you are such a twat! I've only known you for two days, yet you make it seem like I've known you for months! And you know it too! So you decide the best option is to play me like a muggle violin! Well guess what, Hazel Riddle doesn't just leave players, she makes them beg on her feet till she decides that they're good enough for her, not even that, until she decides whether they deserve to be forgiven or not . Hope you have fun with Katie. Goodbye Cedric, and don't follow me."

What just happened. I would never say those words. But he just stood there, hurt from my words. At that point, I couldn't care any less about him. I left, saying nothing else. Nor was he.
