Me and Sage packed our stuff and headed to our dorms. We were going to finish our homework with Hermione and Luna. Sage walked me to my dorm as it was closer than the Slytherin portrait. I unlocked it saying

Me: " Loyalty."

I opened the portrait and I crawled in. Cedric was sitting on the chair. We both glanced at each other, but then I remembered Draco's words.

' He is a jerk, and he does this to all the girls. I saw him do it to Katie Bell just in the second period! '

I looked away to the stairs, not wanting to gaze into his beautiful green eyes. I started getting mad and walked to the stairs. I could see from the side of my eye, that he was confused. He dropped his work from his lap and walked over to me. I was at the bottom of the stairs when he was near me. He grabbed my free left hand since my right hand was holding the handle of my hand bag.

Cedric: " Hazel are you alright?"

I looked over to him. My lips in a tight line. He looked worried for me. I was beginning to loosen my hardened face until I saw Katie Bell come through the door and say

Katie: " It took me forever to remember the password here. You hufflepuffs are loyal, you're not wrong."

She looked Cedric in the eyes after tugging her tie down since it was messed up. Cedric and I looked over to her. Cedric automatically took his hand off my left one and put it next to his side saying

Cedric: " Hey Katie, um..."

Katie looked very confused as to why Cedric was talking to He-who-must-not-be-name's niece. She was extremely afraid of my uncle. I don't blame her since I am also afraid of him. She saw a boggart in a supply shop and Voldemort popped out and was about to use the killing curse on her until her father used ' Riddikulus' on him. This happened just this summer. Anyways, I looked at Cedric and rolled my eyes and said

Me: " Unbelievable."

He looked back at me but I was already heading up stairs. He said

Cedric: " Hazel! Wait!"

He was about to climb the steps but then he remembered that if any boy steps on the steps that lead to the girl's dorm, they instantly turn into a slide. He cursed under his breath but I didn't care. I opened the door and slammed it. I put my back on the door. I thought, wow, Draco was right. He was just trying to protect me. I smiled just a little since I was still mad at Cedric over this whole situation. I looked up to see Sage, Hermione, and Luna looking at me in worry. Sage broke the silence and said

Sage: " What just happened?"

My eyes widened in fear. I was embarrassed about how I acted at my entrance.

Me: " Uh, nothing! I'm just stressed over the amount of homework we have."

I fake giggled to seem like it was funny. Hermione, Luna, and Sage got out of their beds and went on the floor so we could work together. We worked on our Transfiguration homework first, but I stupidly forgot since I was too busy talking to Oliver. I whispered to Luna since I knew if Hermione knew, she would go all beast mode on me.

Me: " Psst, do you have an extra copy of Transfiguration homework?"

Luna looked at me while I backed away smiling softly. She replied

Luna: " You're lucky I have an extra copy. The Wrackspurts were telling me to keep it."

She said in a regular voice. I was happy but she said it too loud as Sage and Hermione were looking at me in a disapproving look. Luna pulled out a piece of parchment that had all the questions we needed to answer. I looked at her with a serious expression. But she was too innocent to realize what was going on. Hermione then started to yell

Hermione: " Are you serious Hazel? We just finished the first day of school and you didn't even remember to bring your own homework?!"

I stared at her embarrassed, but Sage just made it worse. Her eyes expanded with her mouth

Sage: " You were too busy with Oliver!"

I put my face in my hands. Luna was humming to herself, not even paying attention to what was happening. Hermione was shocked about what she just heard.

Hermione: " Hazel! Do NOT tell me you are talking to boys instead of learning!"

I kept my head in my hands and ignored her. She scoffed and said

Hermione: " So let me get this straight, you are talking to Cedric, Oliver, Seamus, Neville, Ron, Harry, and Malfoy?"

I lifted my head from my hands. Oh no. Sage was right across from me. She heard the friends and Malfoy together. Great Hermione, thanks. This is why I was not on great terms with Hermione.

Sage: " I'm sorry, you're friends with, Malfoy? Since when?"

I told her rolling my eyes

Me: " I'm not friends with Malfoy."

I said his last name with no stuttering. I turn to face Hermione

Me: " Where did you get the idea that me and Malfoy were friends?"

She squinted her eyes, looking mad

Hermione: " Oh, so you weren't talking to Malfoy in the hall? During our fourth class?"

I was freaking out inside, what's my excuse?

Sage: " Hermione, that wasn't Hazel, that was me. I was giving Malfoy a lecture."

I exhaled feeling more comfortable. This was better.

Hermione: " I could've sworn I saw a Hufflepuff robe. Besides, why are you talking to Malfoy Sage?"

Sage was confused at first, but remembered that she was a Muggle. She didn't know about her mother nor father.

Sage: " Mind your own beeswax 'Mione."

I chuckled because Hermione was shocked at the attitude but then rolled her eyes and went back to her work. Through all of this, Luna chose to ask

Luna: " Does anybody have the answer to question twelve on Section B?"

We all looked at her. She was looking at us with yet again, a soft smile. We stared at each other and started laughing. Luna always knew how to cheer us up.
