Chapter 9:

I stopped. Draco was walking forward until he noticed I wasn't next to him. He looked around and turned to me. He came up and asked

Draco: " Hazel, what's wrong?"

I looked at him and replied

Me: " We can't go in together. And if we are not being friends in front of Sage, we can't use each other's first names. Here, I will go first and you wait for ten seconds and come in as well."

He nodded. I started walking. He just stood there looking around. I turned around to look at him and waved bye to him. He smiled a little and gave a nod. I entered the Great Hall and looked around and saw Sage at the Gryffindor table with Hermione. I stared at Hermione as she was talking to Sage, Ron, and I couldn't see who else was with her, oh, Luna! I sat next to Sage and said.

Me: " Hey guys!"

They all looked at me and replied with a sort of greeting. I took some mashed potatoes and took some gravy. I loved their mashed potatoes. I heard Ron and them talking about their first time having classes when I saw Harry walk through the front door. He looked, ok? He was smiling which was weird, didn't he get in trouble for what happened on the field? He sat down next to me and Sage and said

Harry: " I got into the Quidditch team!"

Our eyes widened and our mouths began to spill with words. Everyone was talking at once. Harry's eyes went from one person to another and to another. He finally said

Harry: " Alright alright! McGonagall took me to see someone named Oliver and we talked about how quidditch works. I am supposedly the seeker."

I smiled widely and put my hand on his shoulder saying

Me: " I'm glad you're not in trouble"

He smiled at me and faced Sage who was just munching and munching on food. She was a copy and paste of Ron. She. Eats. Alot. But she has a fast metabolism so that explains why. She looked at everyone for the first time since Harry arrived and said with a full mouth

Sage: " Glad you're sticking around Harry."

We all laughed. I saw a familiar face go down to the Hufflepuff table. I said to the group

Me: " I'm going to talk to another friend, i'll catch up with whatever you talk about without me. See you guys!"

They all said their goodbyes as I headed to the Hufflepuff table

Me: " Are you ok?"

Cedric: " Yah, i'm alright. How's peabrain Malfoy?"

I chuckled a little to myself, I turned my head to face the slytherin table, I saw Draco sitting with his trio and another boy. I knew him as Blaise. He was in my Divination class. I spun my head to Ced and sat down next to him. I laid my head on his shoulder and said

Me: " He's ok I guess, I wouldn't know. But i'm glad to hear that you're ok."

He laid his head on mine, and to be honest, I know we have only known each other for two days, but it feels like we have known each other for eternity. We stayed like that as I took a quick nap on his shoulders. I suddenly woke up to the loud noise of talking. I fluttered my eyes open and saw that Sage was in front of me smiling at me. I lifted my head, feeling the pain from my neck staying in the exact same spot for too long. Ced was smiling at me. Sage said

Sage: " Hello sleepyhead, sorry to interrupt you from your wonderful nap on Ced's shoulder, but we have to get to class."

I stood up quickly, scared that I would be late again. And then I saw him, I saw Draco looking at me with a sad face. I had no idea why. So I said to Sage

Me: " What time is it?"

She replied

Sage: " Look we have ten minutes till we have to get to class, but I have to leave now since Luna and I have Muggle Studies now."

I smiled at her and got out of my seat. She walked out with Luna to their class.

Me: " Well, I guess i'll see you around Ced."

Cedric: " You will?"

I smiled looking down at the floor and back at him

Me: " Yes, that's the problem."

I then gave him a quick peck on the cheek. I smiled again looking at his reaction. His face was as red as fire. I was blushing, heading to Draco.He was at the Great Hall doors staring at me. I walked with him out of the Great Hall and said

Me: " What's wrong?"

He looked at me with hurt eyes. I didn't like seeing him like this.

Draco: " You shouldn't be hanging out with Diggory. He's a jerk. And besides, you've got me now if you're worried about protection."

I look at him with an annoyed look.

Me: " Draco, are you jealous?"

He looks at me quickly and answers VERY fast

Draco: " Of course not! He is a jerk, and he does this to all the girls. I saw him do it to Katie Bell just in the second period!"

I looked at him worriedly. I thought Ced was more than he looks, but I guess not. I didn't say anything as I rushed to the quidditch field. Draco saw me go fast as he said

Draco: " Wait! Hazel! Did I do something to make you upset?"

But I didn't look at him or respond. I was too hurt as I learned that Ced, I mean, Cedric was a player. Great way to start the year. I entered the field and stood next to a broom that seemed fairly new. And the class went on to start.
