I kept crying, feeling overwhelmed at this point. I entered the library. It wasn't full, but it wasn't empty. I went searching for Draco, wiping the tears of my face and moving my hands up and down to make my eyes dry. I finally saw him at the back. Crabbe and Goyle were sitting as well. Draco was smirking at them, but when he faced me, his smirk dropped. He looked emotionless. I walked to him. And before I knew it, I was right next to him. I sat down on the four seated, rectangular table. I looked at Crabbe and Goyle, squinting my eyes
Me: " I thought I saw Crabbe and Goyle here, sitting with us Malfoy, because I was just about to go ahead and punch them in the face till they left."
They got scared and pushed back their chairs and ran away, they were bumping into people and looking back at me to see if I was following them, but really, I was sitting on my chair with my hands on my lap elegantly and had my lips and eyes scrunched up. When I couldn't see them anywhere, I relaxed, feeling like I was about to cry again. I got out everything from my hand bag and put it on the table. I could feel that Draco was staring at me. Once I put everything out and sorted the things out I looked to Draco. He plastered on a worried face.
Draco: " What were you crying about?"
He said, oh no.
Me: " What made you think I was crying?"
Draco: " Your eyes are puffy and red, and there are water droplets on your robe."
I looked away from him, does nothing go how I want it to go? I thought to myself
Me: " I'm fine Draco."
I was flipping through the textbook to find the instructions on how to get the items. I then felt a figure on my left hand that was holding the book to the table. I looked at Draco, he was on my right side. He was looking at me. I was looking at him. He then placed his other hand on my right hand to close the book. I just kept looking at him. Once he successfully closed the textbook, he took both of my hands and he squeezed them. My hands were curled leaning together and his hands over mine making a ball shape. I could feel my eyes water. He then looked from our hands into my eyes. Oh my Merlin. I was falling deep into those blueish gray eyes. He then said
Draco: " Hazel, now that we're... friends,"
He was saying that is if he didn't want to be. What did he want us to be? We were only 11. Maybe even 12.
Draco: " I want to remind you that, you can talk to me. I'm here for you. But don't get all soft cause that's just being a baby."
Ah, there was that little bit of Malfoy. ' don't get all soft cause that's just being a baby ' I never knew Draco was this kind of a person. What? But, don't get me wrong, cause i'm enjoying this. He is the first person to actually care. I know Sage would too, but I had to wait to tell her. And I wanted to let it all out now. I started crying silently. Draco was just sitting there because this is what he told me not to do. But I couldn't hold it in.
Me: " Thank you Draco. That means a lot to me to hear that from you. By the way, i'm sorry that I slapped you last night. But you were pretty rude."
I giggled. He chuckled silently, he was looking over to the front to make sure no one would come this way.
Draco: " It's ok, I deserved it. Sorry for mentioning it. And seriously, I'm here for you."
He squeezed it stronger. I looked at his eyes after staring at our hands. He was smiling. I could tell from his eyes. Could this get any better. I released my hands out of his grasp. He took back his hands and put them on his lap. I then said
