Dumbeldore: " Another year gone, and now as I understand it, the house cup needs awarding,"

I saw all the Hufflepuffs snorting quietly in laughter as we all knew, we weren't going to be winning in any chance. We were fine with it really, which was the best part. No one cared to be mad about it. But I could see the gryffindors look at Harry, who got detention with Hermione and Ron, and I believe Draco earlier in the year which led them to lose a lot of points. But Draco didn't lose any. I didn't know what happened or why but I didn't bother.

Dumbledore: " And the points stand thus,"

A lot of Slytherins were smirking, and so was Draco. Sage was laying her head on her hand, she didn't care as much as everyone else.

Dumbeldore: " In fourth place, Gryffindor with three hundred and twelve points."

Not a lot of people were clapping from the Gryffindor table, they were just simply mad at either themselves or Harry and Ron.

DumbleDore: " Third place, Hufflepuff with three hundred and fifty two points."

What? We were in third place? Honestly, not that bad. Hufflepuffs were patting each other on the shoulder and saying good job to everyone, including me. It felt good to be in a house that just admired everyone for trying their best.

Dumbledore: " In second place, Ravenclaw with four hundred and twenty six points."

Props to Ravenclaw. The smartest people were there and they were certainly not too bad. They were all extremely nice. I looked around to see Hermione clapping very tiredly. She knew Slytherin was going to win, but did not care at that point.

Dumbledore: " And in first place, with four hundred and seventy two points, Slytherin house."

All the Slytherins were cheering at each other for winning. No other house cared to do anything about it as usual. I was happy that Draco was happy, but at the same time, I was mad that he was so pumped up for beating Harry. Snape was clapping like a seal, emotionless and fast. Draco looked towards me and smiled, and as usual, when he smiles, I smile. I mouthed the words

' congratulations ' and smiled again. He nodded. But then Dumbledore decided to speak again

Dumbledore: " Yes yes, well done Slytherin. However,"

Every house was stunned, everyone started whispering. What was Dumbledore doing? Even Snape was confused.

Dumbledore: " Recent events must be taken into account, I might have a few, last minute points to award."

We were all smiling. Finally, this was going to be good. I just hoped Hermione, Ron, Harry, and Sage would be considered.

Dumbledore: " To Miss Hermione Granger, for the cool use of intellect, while others were in great peril, fifty points."

I started cheering for Hermione like every other Gryffindor, even Sage was too. Of course, the Slytherins were looking at Sage as if she was crazy, but she didn't care. Ron was looking at her sweetly, it was amazing. I'm glad she was taken into consideration. Hermione turned to Hagrid who was smiling at her. I knew she was friends with him.

Dumbledore: " Second, to Mister Ronald Weasley, for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years, fifty points."

I knew Ron would get something good from chess. I started clapping and cheering for him as well. He kept grinning widely. I was so proud of him, he deserved those points. I looked at him, and he looked at me. I mouthed ' great job Weasley! ' He mouthed back ' thanks Riddle. '

Dumbledore: " And third to Mister, Harry Potter, for pure nerve, and outstanding courage, I award, Gryffindor house sixty points."

My hands started getting tired from clapping. I went up to the Gryffindor table and hugged Harry from the back. He put his hands on mine and said

Harry: " Thank you Hazel."

Me: " No problem Mister Potter."

I hugged Ron and Hermione as well, trying to signal to the three that I was proud of them. While I was doing that, Dumbledore continued thankfully.

Dumbledore: " And finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award thirty points to Neville Longbottom."

Everyone clapped even harder for Neville, as we would never believe he would get points throughout the year. He was even more stunned. I went up to him and swung my arms to him. I squeezed him as he was still in shock

Me: " Neville, you allowed the Gryffindor house to win! You did it!"

He kept repeating

Neville: " Thank you Hazel. I did it!"

Us five kept giggling at what just happened, but I guess Dumbledore wasn't done yet.

Dumbledore: " I am not finished just yet. This girl has proved throughout the year that she was not what everyone expected. Instead, she was strong, she was loyal to others, and best of all, she blew everyone away with what she was capable of. I award twenty five points for Hufflepuff to Miss Hazel Riddle, who showed us that she wasn't who everyone said she was, instead, she is a great asset to the school."

I was about to faint. Me? Really? I looked to my Hufflepuff table. Everyone was looking at me and clapping for me. I saw one of them say

" Goodjob Hazel! "

I smiled at them. But then I felt so many people hug me at once when I turned around. Harry, Ron, Sage, and Hermione were hugging me. I was laughing along with them and put my arms around them. Neville was sitting in front of me looking back and saying

Neville: " Good job Hazel! You deserve it!"

I accidentally looked up when grinning at Neville and saw Draco. As much as he hated everything that was happening, He still managed to give me a small, and I mean really small smile. I nodded back at him with a large grin on my face.

Dumbledore: " Last, but not least, Sage Turner, throughout the year, Miss Turner has fought with her friends, and has stuck by their side. She has brought responsibility to the Slytherin house. Miss Turner has also proven to all the houses that not all Slytherins shed their skin for themselves, instead, they do so for others. I award Slytherin house twenty five points."

Sage was jumping up and down while we were trying to hug her. At this point, all I knew was that Hufflepuff was still in last place, as Gryffindor was in first. After six years, it was a big win for the Gryffindors. I didn't care for my house points, instead, I was happy to be with my Hogwarts family. This night could not be any better. Sage made the Slytherins roar in proud shouts. We all started to sing the Hogwarts song proudly. I decided that for the next years to come, I will try to stop being stupid and live in the moment. Everyone was happy that night, which made the whole room seem like it shined so bright.
