RAIN ON ME

CHAPTER 33

It's new year's Eve today and Alex is back home still healing. I've been relieved he's making a good progress.

Alexa was finally able to see Alex, I was surprised how they had been emotionally attached.

We were all celebrating the new year's together at my place.

It was 6pm now so I finished my work and all the preparations for tonight and decide to leave to pick Alex up.

"Alexa! Baby come let's pick Alex!" I call out for her and after a few minutes I hear small thumps of footsteps rushing to the bedroom.

I smile and turn to look at Alexa who just came in.

I quickly comb Alexa's hair and tie mine in a pony before grabbing the keys and leaving.

I drive to his place and ring the doorbell to be greeted by the maid.

" Welcome Miss Leona and miss Alexa" She greets and I smile at her and Alexa waves at her.

" Hi Miss Greene." I say and she nods with a smile.

" Where's Alex?" I ask her

" He's in the bedroom, do you want me to call him ?" She asks

" Oh no, I'll just go in." I say and she nods smiling.

" Alexa comes I'll give you some cookies." She tells her Alexa's eyes lit up as a smile forms on her face and she looks at me with expectant eyes.

I chuckle looking at her
" Go, but don't eat too much okay?" I tell her and she nods excited.

After they both leave I make my way towards Alex's bedroom.

" Alex..." I say peeking through the door and my eyes fall on a lady with a nurse's uniform undoing Alex's shirt, my eyes widen and I quickly go in.

" Excuse me??!!" I say in frustration trying not to loose my chill.

Alex and that woman both look at me.

" Yes?" She asks raising an eyebrow

" I'm sorry but patients privacy can't be-" she says and I take a deep breath trying to calm my nerves.

" Your patient is my boyfriend." I say and her eyes widen a bit before coming back to normal.

" Hi babe." Alex says smiling at me and I give her a smirk going by his side and kissing his cheek.

" Hi..." I say and I see he was a bit surprised by my action.

" Can I ask what you were doing?" I ask her folding my hand on my chest and looking at her with a stern look.

" I was helping him change his clothes." She says confidently and I laugh sarcastically.

" I don't remember having some to get Alex dressed." I say and her expression changes to a nervous one.

" No..I..it was-"

" Since when has she joined Alex?" I ask him and I could see he's trying to hide a smile.

" Yesterday.." he says and I nod.

" Did Daniel tell you about it?" I say and he shakes his head to say no.

" So where did you come from?" I ask her and she looked nervous.

" Listen I'm a lawyer so I'm very attentive about what happens around me or my family." I say fixing her uniform and she lowers her head.
