I'm a ghost
Living with the stars above me
And the grass below meI'm a ghost
There is no one to love me
There is no one to know meI'm a ghost
With an aching heart
And her life torn apartI'm a ghost
That lived in the past
From a play without a castI'm a ghost
Who will always give away
Whatever I love mostI'm a ghost
Whose words are taken away
And mistaken for a boastI'm a ghost
And I stand here today
Waiting to sayI'm the girl
Standing in front of you
Unsure of what to doI'm the girl
Who always smiles
And seems happy, right?I'm the girl
Who walked countless miles
Through the day into nightsI'm the girl
Falling apart at the seams
Haunted, even in her dreamsI'm the girl
Standing here in front of you
With nothing left to do.
