Yet another cryptic love story
That makes everyone turn away
So overused, it begins to make us worry
Without love, is there any other way?
Yet another worthless love story
That ends with a broken heart.
Not one with any significant glory
But one that will tear your soul apart.
Broken and left alone to die
A girl looks Death in the eye.
She knows he will not return
For he had left her there alone,
With only a candle light to burn.
The wind whispers in her frozen ear,
“My darling, won’t you come over here?”
Ravennah looks up in the cloudy night
Searching for the slightest sign of life
To help her live through the truth in the lie,
Because nothing could hurt worse than his goodbye.
It was like being shredded with his silver knife,
And living in a fire whilst getting frostbite.
“Come darling, and look your fate in the eye,
Come child, so I can watch you as you die.”
The wind’s words chilled her to the bone
And all she felt was cold and fear
“My darling, why won’t you come over here?”
Ravennah lay there in the snow,
Waiting for Death to finally take hold.
She falls into a deep and warm sleep,
In which her soul will forever keep.
Her soul will be forever held in place.
“Darling, your soul was mine to own!”
Held together, forever safe.
Ravennah still lay there in the snow
With no sense of time, no place to go.
Forever safe, sleeping as an Angel of Stone.
