Ngumiti lang siya sa'kin at kinuha ang earphone na nasa kaliwang tainga ko at inilagay iyon sa kanang tenga niya.

He looked back at me and show his perfect teeth with a smile that made me stop my breath. He sense it and laugh at my reaction. He hit my forehead getting me back to my senses.
I shake my head as if it will gain my consciousness back to reality.
"cute" what. the. actual. pakpak ng manok.
He laugh again so I tried my best to focus and say at least a word.
"I'm sorry but who are you?" I started trying to be serious.
His smile remains as he lend his hand to me asking for a hand shake. I reach his left hand as he talks.
"Matt, It's a pleasure to meet you Yna." He said so I just nod and then rested my back at the chair and look at the board in front of us to avoid meeting eyes with him.
"so uh, are you free this lunch? I just wanna invite you to eat with me if you would allow." His manly voice was so calming that I can't help but to agree easily. Gosh self, at least play hard to get.
We were just there, listening to my playlist now playing at my worst.
I was just swaying my head when he reached for my hand. I smile at it but still didn't stop him from intertwining our hands.
Tumingin ako sa kaniya at para bang nagpapatay malisya lang siya kaya naman natawa ako. Napatingin siya sa'kin at nakita kong nagpipigil rin siya ng ngiti. He even creased his forehead trying to look innocent.
"What?" He whispers still not going to admit it. Umiling na lang ako upang gatungan ang trip niya at nagsimula muling makinig sa tugtog.
Kumanta muli siya kasabay ng tugtog at nakangiti lamang ako.
"so siya yung pasyenteng oobserbahan niyo ngayon habang nag OJT kayo dito, okay?"

Tumingin naman ako sa kaniya at inabangan ang sasabihin niya.
"ano po palang sakit niya?"

"ah, nawala na siya sa sarili matapos hindi matanggap yung pagiging single niya since birth kaya ayon gumagawa siya ng mga eksena sa utak niya na para bang may boyfriend siya."
"Bakit?" Sagot ko pabalik kay Matt.
"Because I like you." sagot niya at tumawa dahil sa hiya. Napatitig ako sa kaniya at natawa din dahil sa sobrang corny at nahampas pa ang balikat niya. Grabe talaga 'tong boyfriend kong si Shan.
