"Again no thank you" I said. I quickly pulled back and handed her the exact change before grabbing my order and walking straight outside. I placed them on the passenger seat and started to drive towards Hayden's house. When I parked up on my usual corner I rang her before disconnecting the call. Usually I would give her a missed call to let her know I was here. I moved the things I had just bought onto the back seat and after a couple of minutes saw my beautiful girlfriend walking towards my car. As she closed the passenger door I pulled away from the kerb and started to drive towards my flat.

"So what time does the race start tonight?" Hayden asked as I opened the door.

"Whatever time I get there" I said whilst walking into the kitchen, carrying the food and drinks from the coffee shop. After taking my suit jacket off I sat across from Hayden. I watched her take a drink of her hot chocolate before taking a bite out of the cookie.

"Will Travis be there tonight?" Hayden whispered. I could hear in her voice that she was slightly scared of that idea especially since she's never been face to face with Travis, well she has but she didn't know it was him.

"Possibly" I said whilst reaching over the island to hold her hand. I squeezed it gently to try and offer her some sort of comfort. We sat in silence for a while as I could see Hayden thinking over the things that could happen tonight. "Baby you don't have to come tonight" I said.

"No I want to be there" she said.

"Hayden...." I said which made her look at me. "You don't have to go"

"Jake" she whispered whilst tilting her head slightly to the left and giving me the puppy dog eyes. She knew I couldn't resist when she gave me that look.

"Fine... But you have to stay near me or one of the guys" I said. She nodded and I leaned over to quickly kiss her. "I'm going to go and get changed and then we can go ok?" I said. She nodded which made me stand up and throw our empty cups away before walking into my bedroom to grab my clothes and get a shower.

Hayden's POV

"Hey man" Scott said as we started to approach him. He shook Jake's hand before pulling me away from Jake and hugging me. When he released me we all started to walk towards the Cobras tent.

"Hey" I said as I walked closer to Holly.

"Hey" she said as she moved from underneath the McLaren.  As she said this I felt Jake's warm arms wrap around me.

"How does everything look?" he asked.

"Everything’s working fine" she said.

"I don't understand how you two can be so close when you’re out in public like this." I turned to my right to see Blake stood there. I felt Jake shrug behind me.

“Well I can guarantee you that there will be no one around here who knows about us” Jake said. I snuggled further into Jake's arms and felt his warmth embracing me.

"Guys" Jamie shouted as he walked in holding Becki's hand. Everyone turned to look at him. "There here" he said. Holly nodded before slamming the hood down on the car. Each person said good luck individually until there was me, Holly, Blake and Jake left. Holly and Blake had walked near the entrance of the tent. I looked up at Jake and saw him looking at me with pure love.

"Good luck" I whispered. Jake gently pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear whilst slowly trailing his fingertips across my cheek bone. I couldn't help but involuntary shiver which made his arm, around my waist, gently tighten. I raised my hands up and rested them on his shoulders while he slowly leaned down. I pressed my lips lightly against his. He rested his forehead against mine.
