You and Brett are now just casually chilling at your house. Your Mom is gonna be late from hanging out with some friends, so you have Brett to accompany you all day.

Your head leans to his shoulder, while Brett embrace you with love. You both comforting ourselves by just being together.

You lift your head up, staring at Brett who's watching a recording of a soloist on television. He plugged his phone there to set up a video for the two of us to watch.

You still have your mind unsettled about him. How did he know about Eddy's feelings and how come they both didn't fight again because of it. You know Brett's nice, but as a boyfriend, didn't he feel.... something?

Brett glance back to you. He turns down the volume a bit then smiles. "What's wrong?"

Your face turns red. You glance back the television. "Uh, no. I'm just wondering how do you get along so well with Eddy."

Brett chuckles. "Why are you wondering about that, dear? It's not a big deal."

"Nah, I'm just surprised you know his story more than me," you said. "Have you been meeting him a lot? Other than the ones you told me?"

"Well, he just needs a friend to talk," Brett's eyes looks at the television again. "So, I became one."

"You don't feel anxious about it?" Your hands embrace Brett's waist. Truthfully, you're scared that you lose him if you talk about it.

Brett close the TV and focus to you. "Look at me, y/n."

You sit straight, then look at him with your worried face.

Brett gives you a warm smile and strokes your hair so gently. "I know how musicians work and I know Eddy is one of the best."

"I was terrified. Who am I to barge in to your life, when you almost have everything if you were really Eddy's." Brett continues.

You stare in silence, savoring every inch of Brett's flaws, as he talks.

"I was sure that you would be more happier with him, y/n," Brett said again. "But I'm extremely content when you chose me."

"That's because you're always there for me, Brett." you smile to him. "How could I not chose you?"

Brett's smile widen. "That's exactly why I didn't get mad at Eddy when I found out myself about his feelings. Because I always knew you still be there for me. I trusted you."

"So you're the one who keeps pushing him to change things?" you asks.

Brett lift his shoulders. "Maybe. I didn't really do anything. I'm just glad you both get along again."

You smile in relief. You are amazed how mature Brett can be in these situation. He's nice to everyone that he knows, even when threats come from them.

"Um, how about you?" Brett turned his face away, feeling a little embarrassed.

You furrowed your eyebrows. "What?"

"Well," Brett's face turns red. "Now that all of this are settled, don't you have to answer to your Mom... about the marriage?"

"Oh, about that," You tilt your head down for a sec. You almost forgot about that.

Brett seemed to bite his lip, then turned his head towards you. "You know his feelings now. Are you still going to marry him? For your parents?"

You silent for a few moments, then smile to Brett. "May I answer that question after dinner?"

Brett look at you with a deadpan face. "Sure. Why not."

You chuckle for a bit, until you hear Brett's phone vibrates so loud. You both glance to it, and let Brett answer it.

"Hello?" Brett put his phone on his ear. "Oh, really? That's great. I'll come over then tonight. Yeah, sure. Bye."

You lift your eyebrows hearing Brett's call. He immediately look at you after the call ended.

"Who's that?" you asks curiously.

"Eddy. He wants us to come over for a dinner party. His mom will make a feast. You want to come?" Brett smiles.

"Well, are you gonna be jealous if I say yes?" you asks playfully. You lean back to him and hugs his waist again.

"Oh, shut up," said Brett embraces you back. "Of course not, you silly."

You laughed. It's always been funny to make fun of Brett about his jealousy. He never admits it. That's kinda cute, to be honest.
