3RD PERSON’S POV

Monday

“Ok class, as you already know. Today  we will have our homeroom class election. But before that, let me introduce your new classmate. He just got transferred and it’s a bit late. So I would really appreciate it if you would treat him nicely." The teacher said after greeting her students.

“You may come in." Miss Xue called the attention of a student waiting outside their room.

The newly transferred students enter the room. It made the students of that class gasp. And they began to chatter and whisper at each other. Some are staring like a statue. Not moving and as if they even forgot how to breathe. Some start squealing like they just saw their idol in person. Except for the three who are not bothered by it at all. They just keep playing rock,  paper,  scissors at their seats. The winner will flick the loser’s forehead.

“Shhh...  keep your voice down. The whole campus can  hear us.” Miss Xue shook her head while shushing her students. “And the three of you there! Stop playing!” She added.

The three she’s referring to are none other than Xiao Zhan, Wang Haoxuan and Xiao Cheng.  They just fix themselves in their seats as if nothing happened.

The new student can’t help but smile seeing their actions.

WANG YIBO’S POV

This is my first day at my new school.  My mother got me transferred at the last minute. Well, I asked her to. I always wanted to stay here and study with my twin brother Haoxuan-gē.  But our Dad didn’t like it. He always insists on me studying in Beijing.  For the idea of having an opportunity to meet different people with high social status.

At first I was fine with it. I have stayed In Beijing since I was 7, though at that time I had a nanny but still I really felt lonely as I always miss my twin brother. Our mother often travels back and forth. She would stay for a month with me in Beijing and stay with Haoxuan in Liaoning the next month. It was our set up until now. But I decided to stay here for good.

I don’t know why but something is pulling me back here. It felt like something bad was going to happen. I don’t know why I feel like this recently. My guts keep telling me that it has something to do with our parents. Haoxuan and I already know that our parents are not on good terms. Though we haven’t seen them fighting yet.

“You may  come in.” The teacher’s voice pulled me back to the present. As soon as I entered the classroom, the whole class went silent for a few seconds then they started making noises, chattering,  whispering, mumbling and whatnot.

I looked around and spotted  those three dimwits. Unbothered by my presence as they are busy playing with each other. Somehow I felt envious as I saw them very close. And I feel that they are distant with me, especially Xiao Zhan.

“And the three of you there, stop playing.”  Then I heard Miss Xue, she’s referring to my twin brother and his friends, as there are no other students playing but them. They stop playing then fix themselves and sit properly pretending like they didn’t get caught.
