"I'm so sorry about this Julie."
"About what?"
Nanny Dove appeared, not five feet from Julie. Julie jumped slightly and stared, silently, in disbelief.
Frank held his wife.
"You okay?"
Julie sat on the couch.
Matty flicked through her contacts and pressed Freddy's number. Gertrude answered the call.
"What da fuck, Matty?"
"Haven't time for bullshit, Gertie. Get you and Freddy out of bed. There is a cop car headed for the Bay with the guy in it that gave Henry the heart attack."
"Freddy get the fuck up," everyone heard Gertrude yell.
"We'll get da fucker, Matty."
"Be careful, Gertie. The fucker is armed."
Gertrude laughed.
"So are we."
Gertrude ended the call.
"Don't worry about things, Don. We will look after things."
"Keep me updated, Bill. But do what you have to do."
Bill hung up the telephone and looked at Nanny Dove.
"Can you get to this guy?"
Nanny Dove smiled.
"Willam, wese already 'as tings under control."
With that she disappeared.
Julie started laughing.
"Was that?"
Matty let out a long breath.
"That was my Nanny Dove. Sorry you had to meet her like this, but we don't have time for proper introductions."
Julie looked at her husband.
"You knew about this?"
Frank nodded.
"Yea, I met Nanny Dove already."
