"can you take spare clothes with you?" Liam asks me. He just told me to get ready, but why would I need an extra pair of clothes?
I look at him confusion written all across my face. "why?" I ask. He grins at me and explains "can't tell you. It's a surprise" .
I sigh and walk up the stairs to my room. I decide I don't want to change instead I just pick up a black hoodie and purple leggings and stuff them in my small, black backpack. I brush my hair and put it in a ponytail. I swing the backpack over my shoulder and walk downstairs.
Liam is at the end of the stairs leaning on the wall. He raises his head and sends me a warming smile. I smile back, but quickly remove the smile from my face and turn my gaze searching anything it could land upon. I stare at the ground not lifting my head.
"are you ready?" he asks and I nod in respond. He sighs "come then". He picks up a blue drawstring backpack that was lying on the floor beside him.
