Chapter Four

"Class dismissed!"

Everyone cheered after the prof announce that. Tahimik kong inayos ang mga gamit ko. Tinext ko na din si Chie kung saan kami magkikita.

Walang lingon na lumabas ako ng room at tinahak ang hallway ng school. Some of the students were having their own business.

I stopped midway when my phone beep. May reply na si Chie.

Chie:
Sa coffee shop nalang, sa tapat ng school. Wait mo ko ha.

Saktong pag angat ko ng tingin ay nahagip ko iyong babaeng nasa may gate na parang domino na nahulog ang mga dala nyang libro.

"Aish. Puta!"

I hid my phone and went to her. Isa isa na nyang pinupulot ang mga libro kaya lumapit na ako.

"Naku, salamat." She whispered.

"No worries. Saan ka ba? I can help you carry this."

"Doon lang sa coffee shop. Uh, okay lang ba sayo?"

I smiled at her. Doon ko natanto na itong tinulungan ko ay ang ang running for cumlaude na si Carmela Zarsuelo. Other says that she had an attitude but I won't judge that easily.

Tinahak namin ang daan patungo sa gate. I carried the half of her books hanggang sa makapasok kami sa coffee shop.

"Girl, dito nalang. Thank you sa tulong mo."

I placed the books on the table, then I nodded before turning my back at her. Naghanap na ako ng mauupuan namin ni Chie. Usually, sa may malapit kami sa aircon kasi favorite spot ni Chie.

Before I settled at the table, dumiretso muna ako sa counter. I scanned the menu. At habang nag iisip ako ng oorderin ko, naramdaman kong may tumabi sa akin. There was a strong presence that I can't stop myself from glancing at it.

I was taken aback when I saw Oliver beside me. He's smiling at the cashier and maybe notice my presence because he glance at me. Napaayos ako ng tayo nang magtama ang mata namin. Afterwards, he smiled.

"Hi."

I cleared my throat, "H-hey."

Pagkatapos kong sabihin iyon ay nagfocus na ako sa pagpili ng coffee ko.

"Sa side nalang po, Sir." Binalingan ako ng cashier. "Yes, Ma'am?"

"One caramel machiatto and a vanilla latte." I rummaged my bag for my wallet.

Pag angat ko ng tingin, halos matumba ako nang mahuli ang paninitig ni Oliver sa akin, or was he staring at me? I awkwardly took a money and paid for my order. Halos sabay lang niabot sa amin iyong order namin.

I hurriedly excuse myself and went to our spot. Pagkaupo ko, nasaktohan ang kita ko sa pagpasok ni Chie sa coffee shop. May dala dala syang white folder. She waved at me.

"Grabe, ang daming inutos sakin." Agad nyang sabi nang makaupo sa tapat ko. She sipped on her coffee. "Kanina ka pa?"

"Nope. Just a minute ago."

Chie roamed her eyes inside the coffee shop until it was spotted with the two person. Nanliit bahagya ang mata nya pero umiwas din agad. Pasimple akong sumulyap doon.

Well it's not really a big deal if Oliver is close to other girls. It's not like I owned him. Crush lang naman iyon, and I'm sure it will fade soon.

Mabilis lumipas ang mga araw. I celebrate Christmas with my family. Noong new year, si Mama ang kasama ko sa bahay. Sumunod si Kuya Zild.

"Stop smiling, Mama." Suway ko.
