(Note: this chapter is mostly a summary of Y/N's life until she was introduced to Shield, and how she got introduced to Shield, so not all chapters will be this rushed)

After I had lived on the streets of a small town for a whole year, people noticed that I had no one, and I just walked around alone. I was found, and taken into foster care fairly quickly. I was taken to New York to meet my new 'family'. It was all so sudden, I still never understood why. And I definitely didn't show them my powers.

The couple I was put with was nice to me for the first few weeks, until they adopted me. After that, they were distant. They both worked long hours, and left me alone in the house. I went to school, thankfully right on time to start kindergarten, but I walked myself there. They never talked to me much. I was so alone. But, I didn't mind. That's always how it was.

I guess they weren't mean. But, they would come home from work very stressed and tired, so they would just go to bed. It went on like this for years. Again, loneliness was all I knew, so I didn't care. I talked to my friends at school, and went over to their houses, but other than that, I was alone.

The couple gave me everything, though. They spoiled me, like that was their only way of loving me. They gave me anything I wanted, but I never wanted much. As the years went on, we talked more. I guess I got somewhat closer to them, but not by much. They did seem to care, but they cared more about their jobs.

Finally, when I was 15 I was able to drive. Well, I had a permit. But no one was ever around to watch me drive. So, I drove myself around illegally. But it was nice to get away from the emptiness, and just leave to go anywhere.

That's where everything started.

One night, I was driving down the New York roads, when a car came out of no where and crashed into me. Out of instinct, I used my powers to protect myself. I was so in shock, I didn't let go until a few minutes. When I let the force go, I climbed out safely, and thank god the other people weren't injured either. I managed to help them out of their car, but I quickly noticed a few people staring at me. One person was filming.

Shit. They must have seen my powers.

Quickly, I ran off towards the shadows and hid myself. I used my phone to find a bus that could take me back home, and went home without a scratch on me.

I couldn't go back there. I couldn't reveal myself to the world.

I got home without a word, and of course, no one was home. They couldn't know I was driving. Nobody could have, since it was illegal.

I sat down on my bed and opened up my phone to watch YouTube to calm me down. Unfortunately, I didn't calm down.

My video was on the trending page. Me using my powers! That idiot uploaded it! You couldn't really see my face (thank god), but it was horrible! People knew that I was out there now!

What was I gonna do?!

Y/N, it's okay. Just breathe. No one will find out it's you, right?

When I get stressed out, I close and lock my doors, cover all my window, and practice my powers quietly, so I stay sharp with them in case something like tonight happened.

I did that, and sat on the floor, starting with a small force, before making it bigger, than forming it around certain objects, moving it around, and finally, putting it around myself.

3rd Person POV:

At the Shield Headquarters in New York

"The hell are the Sokovia Accords?!" Fury yelled over the phone, when Hill came running in.

"Nick, there's something you need to see," Hill said, and handed him a tablet, showing the viral video of Y/N using her powers. Fury put the phone down and grabbed the tablet, studying it carefully. He picked back up the phone.

"Captain, you're gonna wanna see this," he said.

Steve Rodgers promptly came to the Shield headquarters at the request of Nick Fury. They sat down in a conference room as Nick pulled up the video on a large TV. He paused on the clearest shot of Y/N's face, and looked to Steve, who was thinking.

"We are running tests on who this individual is," Fury informed him.

"Have we ever heard of her?" Steve asked.

"Nothing like her. But once we find her, we are gonna try to bring her here. She could be a real asset to the team, or what is left of it," he said.

"I'm not going to sign them. It's not right for them to stop us if there is trouble. The world needs us," Steve said, standing up.

"I hear ya, Mr. Righteous, but it's not our place to decide these things. Not anymore."

"This won't end well," Steve sighed.

"I know. You're all so damn stubborn," Fury said with a small chuckle.

Meanwhile, Tony Stark was making recruitments for his team. Like Rodgers, he also knew this wouldn't end well. He made his way over to Peter Parker's home, who was a small city superhero, Spiderman, in hopes of recruiting the kid for his team. He would need anyone he could find to fight Cap, if it came to that.
