I Can See Two - Sanders Sides

Chapter 6

"Why the mall?" Ethan asks as we climb into his car. Him driving, Caleb in the passenger side and me in the back. 

"Why not?" I tell him. 

"Fair enough. I've been wanting to look at Hot Topic anyway," he responds as he starts the car. Caleb and I both look at him with surprise. 

"What?" he asks with a quick glance at us. 

"Nothing," I say. 

"You shop at Hot Topic?" Caleb asks. 

"Uhh yeah. Anime merch," he says like it was obvious. 

"I see. You're a weeb too," I say chuckling at him and Caleb. 

"Oh yeah. Anime is literally life," he says happily. I shake my head as I connect my Bluetooth to his car. Once it's connected I try to turn on my playlist but Caleb grabs my phone. 

"Rude," I tell him but let him pick a song. He ends up choosing my All Music playlist and puts it on shuffle. I'm the One by DJ Khaled comes on. Only a few seconds pass when I get a notification on my phone. 

"It's Roman," Caleb says handing me my phone.

Roman: You up?

You: yeah i'm headed to the mall with Ethan and Caleb. want to come?

Roman: Yes please. I'm bored.

You: we'll come pick you up

Roman: Thanks.

"Can you pick up Roman? He wants to come," I tell Ethan.

"Sure," he says. He drives towards Roman's house. Not even five minutes later Roman is walking out of his house. He's wearing dark red skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and a dark red beanie. My god he looks hot. Laughing catches my attention so I ask my friends up front what's so funny. 

"You said that out loud," Ethan points out. 

"He's my boyfriend. I'm allowed to say that out loud," I point out but am seriously embarrassed. Ethan chuckles again. I notice Caleb look at Ethan's hand and his soul turns colors. An orange-yellow color. He's embarrassed. Ethan noticed the soul change as well because he looks at Caleb. He smiles softly at Caleb and grabs his hand in his. I smile as Roman climbs into the car. 

"Hey baby. Hey guys," he greets us.

"Hey," we all say back. Roman notices Ethan and Caleb's intertwined hands but doesn't say anything. Instead he looks at me with a questioning look. I mouth that they're together and he nods with understanding. He puts on his seat belt and then Ethan drives off. It takes us 30 minutes to reach the mall. When we get there he parks near the food court. We all get out of the car and head inside. The first thing we do is just walk around the whole mall to see if there's any new stuff or stores to look at. It's early but there's still quite a bit of people around. 

"Our first double date," Roman whispers in my ear as he intertwines our fingers. 

"Yeah. It's pretty fun so far," I tell him. 

"Hey Virgil," Caleb calls my name. I look over at him who's holding Ethan's hand. He walks closer to me with Ethan in tow and points to our favorite store. 

"No way. They have Internationals here!" I say excitedly.

"Internationals?" Roman asks looking at it. 

"It's awesome," I say pulling him towards it. We head towards it. As we get closer we see a bunch of swords in the window. 

"I'm so buying one of those someday," Roman says when he sees them. Ethan nods in agreement. Caleb and I let go of our boyfriends hands and head inside the store while they check out the swords for a bit longer. We look around for a bit but don't really find anything that catches our eye. After Internationals we stop by a couple other stores on our way to Hot Topic. We get to Hot Topic and look around. I end up buying a MCR shirt. Ethan gets an anime shirt while Caleb gets two.
