"I'm not saying that that kind of thing is okay, but you don't need to apologize. I've been there before, I get it."

He shifts so he can hold me tighter. "I just... have so much stress. Stress with my job, and school, and being alone all the time. I was overwhelmed, and didn't see a way out."

I brush his hair again. "I know how that feels. Tomorrow, I'll help you sort everything out. But for today, there's no job, no school, no stress. Just us."

He turns his face so he can kiss my chest. The touch sends sparks racing across my nerves. "Just us."

I keep drifting in and out of sleep, and Caleb does as well. Gradually, he inches upward so his head rests right next to mine; lips brushing my neck, breathing tickling my hair.

This kind of intimacy... I'm still not used to it. I was blushing the moment I felt his breath on me.

It's just... hah. Him all over me. His lips hovering -grazing my skin. The warmth in my whole body is only increased by the warmth of his body draped over me.
This much contact... I'm trying to be comfortable and calm... but I'm just turned on.

Stupid. Don't be weird! You've shared a bed with Caleb before! We've cuddled before! You don't need this right now. You are a virtuous child of GOD! A PURE soul that does not need to have fantasies about his boyfriend. You need to just CHILL!

But my mind won't chill. I shake my head to get rid of the thoughts that suddenly plague me, and accidentally wake up Caleb by bonking his head.

"Hmm?" He asks sleepily, eyes opening. It takes him a second to focus, and then he smiles dreamily at me. God dammit Caleb and his stupid smile.

"Sorry." I blink a couple times.

"Oh, it's okay." He studies me for a second, smile sliding off his face. "Am I making you uncomfortable?"

My entire face turns red. I can feel it. "Oh uh, no! I'm not uncomfortable. I'm fine."

He raises an eyebrow. "But something's up, innit?"

"When did you become British?" I ask as he sits up. He yawns widely, finally rolling off of me. My entire body becomes cold when the man-heater leaves.

"Gosh, what time is it?"

I look away, covering my face with the back of my hand so he doesn't see how incredibly red I am... but I'm sure he can tell.

He snickers. "What? Is it something I said?"

"No, it's not your fault, I'm just... y'know. I'm still a beginner when it comes to these things."

He snickers. "What, cuddling?"

I nod. "Yeah, and like... sleeping together."

"Ahhh, I remember." He gives me a devilish smirk. "You're still a virgin."

I cover my face with my hands. "There isn't anything wrong with being a virgin!"

My phone buzzes from the nightstand. The hero line. I grab my phone and unlock it as fast as I can.

"I'm telling you, I can change that any time-"

I'm only loosely paying attention to him as I read the message. Robbery. Headed south towards my area. Suspect vehicle is a black Tacoma truck with an open bed. No hostages. Assumed unarmed. proceed swiftly with caution.

"Babe, I love you and whatever you're saying sounds great, but I gotta go for a sec." I jump to my feet and put on some clothes, even though I'm about to change them.
