chapter ⁴

I finally get back to the castle and climb up the vines and onto the balcony. I walk into my room and put my bag down on my dresser.

"What am I going to do, I don't want to be alone in an old castle when he leaves to do something" I say to myself. I suddenly hear a knock on the door. "Come in" I say.

"Gradient, paperjam and palette are fighting again" blueprint said stepping into the room.

"I'll be right-" I start but blueprint cut me off.

"Who are these roses from" Blueprint asked.

I turn around and see a bonnet of cyan roses on my nightstand. "Oh I didn't realize those until now" I say picking them up.

"There so pretty" blueprint smiles looking at them.

I see a small note attached to the plastic part.

'I brought you some cyan roses because you said you loved roses and the color cyan.

I think your as beautiful as them as well'

I read starting to blush.

"Ooo who's it from" blueprint asked taking one out the the bonnet.

"I-it doesn't s-say" I studdard covering my face with my sleeves.

"GRADIENT HELP" Palette yells barging into my room.

Once he sees me with the flowers he stopped. Pj came in after him a tackled him to the floor. I put the bonnet on my bed and rush over to them.

"Pj get off him" I yell over them pulling PJ off Palette.

"He started it" PJ complained standing up dusting himself off.

"Hey you started it" palette yells back.

"JUST STOP ARGUING, now explain what happened" I say walking over to my bed. I pick up the flowers again and I grabbed my empty vase. "Aren't you supposed to be explaining to me what happened" I ask.

"Who gave you those" PJ ask while I cut the ends off.

"I don't know, why" I answered putting them in the vase.

"There pretty" blueprint comments smelling the one he has.

"He's right they are pretty" palette agrees.

"How did they even get in here" PJ asked leaning on the wall.

"I don't know" I answered.

"Mabye a spirit animal" palette said.

"Prob-" I start.

"GRADIENT" I heard my dad yell from down the hall.

"Crescent, I didn't see you at the carnival, where were you" my mom asked.

"I went to read my book in peace" I answered.

"I thought you said you would go to this event" my mom said sternly.

"I don't like those kind of events" I explained.

"You better go to the next one" he said sternly.

"KILLER, we have a problem" error yelled to him from the conference room.

"Coming" killer said back running into the room.

I sigh and walk to my room. 'Why did Gradient leave early, was it something I said' I think opening my door.

I should start mapping the cordnents for if he agrees tomorrow.

I start mapping alongside the border so we don't get lost.

After 5 minutes I heard a knock on my door. "Come in" I answer continuing.

"Hey crescent" raven said coming into my room.

"What do you need raven" I asked.

"Your dad wants me to practice sword fighting with you" raven said walking over to me to see what I'm doing.

"Ya I'll be right there" I answered.

"There an creek right here along side of the border" raven said pointing where I was making a few cordnents.

"Than-, wait how do you know that" I ask looking up at him.

"When your a kid you have alot of time on your hands" raven answered.

'If I bring raven with me tomorrow he could lead us along side the border and can protect us if an threat approaches us' I think.

"Do you know how far the border goes" I ask.

"It stops a brick path here" raven said pointing at a certain spot. "Than there is an huge castle."

"Did you go in the castle" I ask.

"No there is an metal gate that is locked, but no one lives there the palace, it's all old" raven explained.

"Are you free tomorrow" I ask.

"Ya, I have nothing to do" raven said.

"Meet me in the garden by my balcony tomorrow" I say.

"Alrighty but you better explain everything tomorrow" raven grinned.
