I was busy finishing the review of contracts before endorsing these to Matti nung dumating si Aiesa from her shoot.
"Hi Mama! busy?"
"Hindi naman anak, tinatapos ko lang itong contract. You want to go home na?"
"No Ma, I'll just wait until you're done. I'll just talk with Myelle and Sab."
Aiesa settled on the sofa as she was continuing her talk with her cousins. Seeing her this close with Mara and Matti's children, makes me happy.
My Aiesa grew up well. She's now 17. Ilang buwan na lang ganap na syang dalaga kaya naman si Lukas halos mabaliw sa pagbabantay sa anak nya. Lalo pa't naisipan nitong mag-artista.
Mabait na bata si Aiesa, ang naging problema ko ay ayaw ko sanang mag-artista sya kaya lamang wala na akong nagawa sa kagustuhan nya dahil todo ang suporta ng ama eh. Halos hindi na nga magclinic si Lukas nung nagsisimula si Aiesa masamahan lang ang anak araw-araw. Si Lukas, ipagpapalit nyang lahat para kay Aiesa. Madalas ko ngang sabihin sa kanya na mas mabuti syang ama kaysa doctor dahil si Aiesa ang laging priority nya, si Aiesa ang laging nasa unahan.
Siguro isa na rin sa dahilan is because Aiesa is our only child. Hindi na nasundan. Almost 15 years na kaming kasal ni Lukas at hindi na ako nagbuntis pa. Luke would always assure me that nothing's going to change. Aiesa, me and him is a complete family. Kaya maluwag na sa loob naming tanggapin na kami ay tatlo lamang at madadagdagan na lamang kapag nagkapamilya na si Aiesa.
"Mama, can I go to Mommy Mara tomorrow?"
"Huh?"
"Mommy Mara's teaching Myelle to bake, I just wanna see too."
"Don't you have any schedule?"
"I'm free this week Ma."
"Okay, I'll bring you there."
"Thank you Mama."
"You might want to try to bake too, ask your Mommy Mara to teach you, I'll buy you all the ingredients."
"Okay Ma, I'm asking Myelle na. I'm excited Ma, I'll know how to bake! I can bake you and Papa a cake!"
"Your Papa's gonna be excited that's for sure and a plus because you'll know a skill that Mama don't know."
"I love you pa rin Ma."
"I love more anak."
Aiesa smiled at me.
I took a deep breath.
Napakaganda ng anak ko. Siguro dahil may European descent sya, her feautures are somewhat close to Lukas. Everybody's telling us na kamukha ni Lukas si Aiesa which makes my heart happy.
"Mama look! Tita Annika sent the video of the twins dancing. Ang cute!"
I stand and tried to look at Aiesa's ipad. But the world suddenly spinned.
"Ma?"
"Nahihilo ako Ayie."
"Are you okay? Punta tayo sa ospital?"
