I had my book back. My favourite book that I loved in grade eight. I read it again this morning while my friends were still asleep. "The Berries" had opened the time capsule from our childhood together. Maybe I should have never left Chicago. Things seemed to be looking up since I was here, not to brag. Now, we were at our middle school for a visit. We spotted things that had changed and exchanged hellos with some of our old teachers. Afterwards, we decided to visit Alcott Secondary. The staff were packing up for summer and they all welcomed us cheerily. We took a bunch of photos and shared memories of things that happened in every single one of our old classrooms. I missed this school so much, especially the people. As June continued, we all hung out, savouring the moments we had together, until I had to return to Florida to prepare for post-secondary.
