Camila's POV

"I broke off our deal with him," I sighed and looked at Alessandro, who furrowed his eyebrows.

"Why?"

"I just... I couldn't take it anymore," I gulped and looked down, trying to blink away any traces of tears. I looked up at him, breathing heavily as I whispered, "I... I need to move on."

Alessandro didn't say anything.

He just got up from where he was sitting, as he walked closer towards me, then holding a hand out.

I glanced at the hand then at him with a raised eyebrow.

He just shrugged and smiled, "I wanna take you out."

My breath got caught in my throat, as I glanced at him with a smile. Slowly, I grabbed hold of his hand and smiled even wider.

"Go get ready," he whispered, before kissing the top of my head, making me blush brightly. "There's this club I wanna show you."

I let out a breath and nodded.

I could do this.

I could move on.

Shawn's POV

I gulped down the drink, wanting to feel some sort of alcohol in my system.

For some reason, I had been feeling a sense of loss.

Something was missing, and I knew exactly what— or who— it was, but I denied it all.

I didn't need her. Maybe as a friend, sure, I needed her. But I didn't desire her.

No, I didn't.

Camila was just a friend now. Nothing more and nothing less.

So why did I feel lost?

This feeling wasn't there when Camila and I would be intimate with each other at night.

This feeling wasn't there when our lips touched in sweet harmony, our hands drifting us towards a whole new world.

This feeling wasn't there when we sat on the couch, making out while a cheesy movie played in front of us.

This feeling wasn't there when I woke up next to her, the angel looking ever so stunning.

This feeling wasn't there when we'd dance around the kitchen, singing to classic Disney songs.

This feeling wasn't there when she'd be beside me, a comfortable silence reigning over us but we wouldn't complain.

That feeling was different.

That feeling made my heart beat faster and made my palms almost sweaty. It was a charging, euphoric feeling.

It couldn't be explained easily.

But this feeling I felt now was just... a sense of loss and longing.

"So, what do you say?"

I almost forgot about the redhead girl beside me. I glanced at her, trying to recollect what we were talking about. "I uhm..."

"Or we could also go back to yours, I don't mind," she whispered, batting an eyelash.

I licked my lips, now remembering what she was on about.

But before I could say anything, something caught my attention.

Camila and Alessandro.

My eyes widened and my heart started racing, but not in a good way. My nostrils flared and my jaw clenched tightly, the sound of gritting teeth could be heard quite obviously.

I narrowed my eyes at the pair, who were standing really close to each other.

At that moment, I tried reminding myself...

She wasn't mine— never was. So I shouldn't be... jealous. She is completely entitled to go with anyone she wanted.

But at the same time, I couldn't help but feel jealous. It was weird, all this time she was just a friend, but somewhere between now and then... did it change?

Then... right then, I saw him lean in and kiss her. In a few minutes, she didn't pull back but just bring him closer.

I closed my eyes and breathed heavily through my nose, before fluttering my eyes open and glancing at the redhead beside me, who was still to do that seductive look by opening her mouth and letting the tip of her tongue show.

"Alright," I muttered in a low voice, with a growl in the back of my throat. "My place, then."

She licked her lips and gave me a coy smile.
