I stared at his sleeping figure.
His curls messed up, thanks to me, and hickies were spread all across his neck and a few dotted around his chest. Nonetheless, he looked so peaceful, his eyes closed and a small smile playing at his lips.
My hand slowly reached up and with a feather-light touch, it brushed past his cheeks. I smiled when I noticed the small scar on his face.
Slowly, I leaned in and pressed a longing kiss on his lips. I could feel his arms tighten around me, but pulling back, I noticed he was still asleep.
I let out a soft chuckle, before gently snuggling against his chest.
But for some reason, there was a nagging feeling in my chest. Something felt wrong.
I tried snuggling even closer to Shawn's body, as it usually took all my stress away, but it didn't help this time.
He felt warm, but I couldn't help but feel cold at his touch.
There was something wrong.
And I didn't know what it was.
But looking up to his face, my heart broke and I knew exactly the reason why he didn't feel like home anymore.
