........
"Hi," Alessandro whispered, right as I opened the front door. He stood there with a big smile, and I couldn't help but smile back.
"You're finally here," I chuckled, feeling content because I didn't cry and ruin my makeup. "You do have a tendency to be late."
"I can't help it," he simply shrugged and gave me a small smile, before raising his hand up. "Shall we?"
"We shall," I let out a sigh and took his hand, turning around briefly to close the door behind me.
"Can I say that you look really pretty tonight," Alessandro whispered, his eyes roaming around my red dress.
I blushed and chuckled, "You don't look too bad either. You clean up well."
"Why, thank you," Alessandro said, with a bow before we let out a laugh and he guided me towards his car.
.......
Honestly, going out wasn't that easy, especially with the paparazzi that followed our every move.
But somehow, Alessandro was able to take us to a remotely empty restaurant, as he stated that he knew the owner and they made sure that no paparazzi would be able to enter.
Which I was more than grateful for, because as much I loved posing crazily in front of paparazzi, it could get annoying sometimes.
And going out with Alessandro almost took my mind off of what I was thinking earlier with Shawn.
Which I was almost glad for.
Currently, we were walking back from the restaurant and somehow, we got to the topic of Shawn and I. Honest to god, I didn't even know how we got to the conversation, but Alessandro sounded quite curious about us.
"He's just a friend, honestly," I sighed, looking onto the ground and kicking a rock that was in my path.
"But...?" Alessandro asked, chuckling as I furrowed my eyebrows.
"How do you know there's a 'but'?"
"Instincts," he simply muttered, as he looked at me. "So, is there more to it?"
"Maybe," I bit my lip before I gave out a defeated sigh. "We have a weird friendship."
"How weird?"
"Ever heard of friends with benefits?" I asked, a smile playing at my lips as I looked up to see his reaction, which was just his eyes widening and his mouth making an 'o' shape. "Yeah, that's us."
"I... I don't actually know what to say," Alessandro chuckled, as I blushed and shrugged. "Do you guys have feelings for each other?"
"He doesn't," my mood draining out once again, as I frowned. "He has made it clear to me that there shouldn't be any feelings involved. But... I might have feelings for him. Scratch that, I do have feelings for him."
"Then, just say it," Alessandro bit his bottom lip. "I mean, what's the harm?"
"Our friendship getting ruined," I replied almost immediately. "I love him to the point that I'll take anything he gives me. It hurts that he doesn't feel anything more for me, but if I do confess, our actual friendship will be so tense, that he just might end everything. And that's my biggest fear."
