Chapter 20 : This Moment Is Still Ours

As she was pressed against him, not letting go even if it was safe to do so, he just tightly held her - almost as if assuring them both that they were okay.

Isabela squeezed her eyes shut, Nathan able to feel her racing heart against his chest, as he put her feet back down on the ground - and after a moment, she finally registered what was happening and pulled away, shaking her head as she looked up at him - voice barely getting out. "Thanks."

He just nodded at her, before the two then looked up, watching what was happening - before then seeing Mose begin firing at them again, causing her to grab his arm and the two quickly ran over, ducking behind Letty's car - as Nathan quickly pulled Isabela down, using his body to cover her's as they squeezed their eyes shut.

Finally Hobbs managed to get the tail of the chopper, causing it to begin spinning out and forcing Mose to stop shooting as he fell to the side.

But then Hobbs' weapon finally ran out of bullets, causing him to look down, as Isabela moved and stood up enough to look - her heart dropping at the sight of the entire building beginning to crumble with Dom still in it.

She stepped forward, away from Nathan as she watched - prayed.

Then Brian's vehicle suddenly pulled up, with him and Roman and Tej getting out and looking up at what was happening. 

As Dom drove fast to part of the already crumbled debris, he spoke to himself. "Don't miss." Then he clicked the NOS button, sending his car forward fast and causing him to hit the debris and go straight up... at the helicopter.

"No.." Isabela barely got out as she stepped forward, watching Dom's car come up to the helicopter and as the pilot swerved it to the side, Dom was able to hook the bag of grenades to it... before his car went down, and Letty and Ramsey quickly got out.

"Dom!" Isabela screamed as they watched his car crash into part of the building, before flipping and going more into the debris and crumbling building. She didn't even think before she began running forward, followed by Letty, who had also screamed.

Brian, Tej, and Roman were quick to run after the girls as well, none of them caring about the threat - only about Dom.

Seeing the dangling bag though, Hobbs threw the giant gun to the side and pulled out his pistol, before beginning to shoot it - until it suddenly blew up the helicopter completely and causing it to crash in even more explosions into the building.

"Dom?!" Isabela screamed as she got to the crash right as Hobbs did, the two having been closest - especially since Isabela had ran faster than ever in her life.

Hobbs rushed over and began pulling pieces of cement off the upside-down car, and as Hobbs took off the door - Brian rushed forward and helped move it out of the way, as Isabela quickly moved forward, her and Hobbs pulled Dom out of the wreck. "Come on, buddy."

The others all joined them, as Letty moved over too, everyone helping as they put Dom on his back, Isabela quickly kneeling down as Letty shakily asked. "Is he breathing?"

Isabela quickly felt for a pulse before looking up to Brian - clear fear in her eyes and tears clouding her vision - so Brian kneeled down beside her and looked to Letty. "I want you to keep his head tilted up, alright?"

Letty does, and Isabela moved more around him, letting Brian begin CPR as he told Letty. "Pinch his nose, keep his head tilted. Breathe into him, now. Go."

Letty does, and Brian nods, continuing to pump his chest. "Good. Come on, Dom."

The longer it took, the more Isabela felt like her life was falling apart. She could feel it beginning to get hard to breathe as she looked down at her brother, desperately trying to blink through the tears in her eyes. "Come on, come on - please."
