This one is short and should actually be called "un fatto ovvio", which I actually translated from Laura Pausini's Italian song and I'm just telling you this so you listen to the song, I really like it (I'm a sucker for songs with heavy piano parts in them), it's beautiful in a way...while you're at it, listen to "Invence no", it's really good too.

The morning of the wedding I was going back and forth in my hotel room. Matt had insisted that he would sleep at his brother's but I wanted to be as close to my mother as possible and after a not so late night out I didn't manage to sleep enough.
The makeup artist and hairdresser that were now pulling at my hair and pressing creams on my face arrived before I stepped out of bed, mom was waiting for her turn chatting it up with Bill and Georg, who were still wearing jeans and drinking coffee, wearing their messy hair with style and made no attempts to keep quiet for the sleeping figure of Gustav on my suite's couch. Tom had gone out to get the flowers; I knew he offered to go because he didn't want to be there.

After too much time in front of the mirror following instructions like "close your eyes", "pout a little" and "now look up", the makeup artist moved up to my mother's face. I hated to have someone else touching my face but for some reason I was convinced of hiring them. The hair was a curly mess when I looked at it and Bill told me to relax before stepping out of the room noticing my horrified expression.

By the time we were done and ready to go to the church I was glued to my phone, Bill was too. Mom and Fernando were on a different car while I was on the black SUV. Tom wouldn't answer my phone calls and I was starting to worry.

"Got the stupid flowers, see you."

He texted me before the car stopped at the church. Somehow I wasn't nervous, just aching... Tom hadn't tried to stop this, he was mad and I could see it but he hadn't said a word to stop it, while Bill asked me if I was sure before we stepped out of the hotel, just the first of many: mom and Georg had made the same question while Dad looked at me disapprovingly and Gustav patted my shoulder.

Inside the church everyone was already sat down, I walked to a room apart as Matt was in a room similar. I waited for my friends to arrive; Dad was there first with the girls and his wife.

"JO!"

Lily yelled as I took her from Ulrike and put her on my lap being careful not to ruin the dress. Truth was that I didn't like the dress, I knew it was an expensive, one of a kind designer's dress but it still held no meaning to me. I could not realize at the time just how stupid everything was.

"Schön Jo." Lily's voice came to me as she spoke and sent a kiss my way.

Jazz sat next to me with her light pink big dress and her French braid lying on her shoulder.

"How are you two?" I smiled at my little sisters.

"Good, but sad because dad says you're not marrying Tom. I will give him to you, yes? I like Georg more." Jazz explained which made me smile with teary eyes while dad observed.

I could already tell how much of a heartbreaker she was going to be and of course the trouble she was going to give dad in the future.
