Chapter 66

It was night time. Nandini refused to eat dinner even after they all tried their best to convince her except for Manik who was silent all the time. At the end, he silently took the plate and walked in her room.

He found her sitting in the balcony staring at the stars. He sighed and kept the tray on the bed. Walking to the balcony, he cleared his throat gaining her attention.

Manik: Get up

She frowned but he didn't change his expression. Sighing she stood up and walked inside while he closed the door.

He saw her laying down on the bed on the other side.

Manik: (angry) Nandini! Enough is Enough! You don't need to get so worked up!

He said sternly and she sat down on the bed.

Nandini: Manik, Please! I am already tensed about Rhea. So Please!

Manik: What Please, Have this (pointing at the tray) I am not at all letting you play with your health like that!

Nandini sighed and he sat down infront of her. He picked up the tray and broke a morsel. He slowly brought it near her mouth and she looked at him and opened her mouth taking it.

He was feeding her and in the mid she started feeding him back.

Manik: You Don't have to worry so much. She has given her contact number. Hum u-se yahan bula lenge. You can treat her. You will do, right?

Nandini: (scared) and what if I failed?

Manik: You won't, because (after a brief pauses) I trust you.

She looked down and sighed. Looking up, she nodded at him and he smiled feeding her the last bite.

She took the empty dishes and went down to keep in the kitchen. In between she met their families and assured them that she is fine. They were reluctant but didn't budge her much.

She came back in the room and found Manik already on the bed doing something on his laptop.

She switched off the lights which caught his attention. He looked up as she walked to him.

Nandini: What are you doing?

Manik: Important Mails

He spread her one arm and she layed down, sticking close to him. After ten minutes a yawn left her mouth and he smiled softly. Keeping the laptop at a side, he layed down beside her, nuzzling his nose in her neck.

Two minutes passed and he noticed that she again zoned out. He sighed and pulled her closer. She called out his name but than shrieked as he gave a bite on her neck.

He licked the spot sending shivers down her spine. She held his shoulder with one hand while one went to his hair, fondling them.

His right hand trailed upto her breast and he pressed it softly causing her to hiss but he didn't stop. He wanted to distract her and he was glad that he was successful because when he looked at her, she was a blushing mess!

He pecked her nose and she smiled kissing his cheek in return.

Manik: Sleep!

She nodded and he layed down beside her. She moved her head from the bed to his chest soon went into a deep slumber. He kept gazing at her. He knew it will be difficult. Rhea might not be saved and his wife would take it to heart. For the first time in his life, he felt helpless. He was in a situation where he didn't know what to do. Sighing he closed his eyes and soon fell asleep.

The next morning was a dull one as they all had breakfast together. Manik had strictly warned them not to mention Rhea for now and they agreed.

The siblings tried their best to cheer her up and at the end she laughed loudly when Cabir showed her a childhood pic of Manik, in which he was just 4 years old and naked, taking bath.
