I was walking around outside collecting my laundry before I had to head to Gaius to begin my work as his apprentice for the day. I had to wash my work clothes considering I was out of clothes
I begin unclipping my skirt of the line when I see gwaine strutting toward me like he had done every day. I begin collecting my laundry quicker trying to escape from his daily antics
Just as I begin taking off my last item of clothing of the line I hear a throat clear
"Hello y/n" I turn my head to see Gwain standing there smirking
"Hello Sir Gwaine"
"Come on y/n there is no need for formality"
"Well Gwain if some one here's us they might get the wrong idea" I turn my head back to put my last item into the laundry basket and pick it up
Gwaine quickly snatches the basket from me "a princess should never have to carry her own wash"
"I'm no princess and if I recall correctly didn't you use that line on Gwen?" I respond
"Well it was worth a try" he says with a sigh
I take my laundry back and begin to walk away. He realizes what's happening and quickly catches up to me
"So how is it being a knight?" I ask
"Well its difficult but it will be nice to know that I will have someone to follow in my footsteps when my sons arrive" he smiles
"So you've got children?" I ask
"Not yet but I was hoping you could help me with that." He smirks at me
"So you want me to marry you then?" I ask
"Well it's a bit sudden but alright" he says trying to keep a straight face
I hit his arm and laugh "Is that what you call a proposal?"
He nods his head "I love you, always have. I want to marry you."
I pause and lean in and kiss him. He pulls back with a smile
"Is that a yes?" Gwaine questions me
"Aye that's a yes" I respond
"Meet me tonight at the edge of the forest" he says
"Okay, I'll see you tonight then" I say
"Until tonight my love" he says giving my hand a quick kiss and walking away with a smile
We part ways, I go home to put away my wash and Gwaine heads to the castle.
