Running my hands over my grandma's obituary, I couldn't help but let the tears; staining it.

The preacher started speaking, unable to focus on his words; I drowned him out.

To the right sat Ella and Kani, both emotionless expressions on their faces.

To the left of me sat Kodis, Loki the Ghost.

Demon sat behind me, he was close enough that I could hear his light breathing, which seemed to calm me down.

I felt two hands on my shoulders, looking back Demon had a solemn expression on his face.

He leaned forward, inches away from my face, "I got you," he spoke clearly making me nod my head.

"I know," I told him as I took one of his hands and placed a gentle kiss on it.

Looking down, Kodis's grip on my thigh tighten making me wince.

I leaned over, "you're hurting me."

He leaned down so that he was at my level, "keep on with the friendly shit with Demon and watch I really hurt you," he grimaced as he roughly let go of my thigh.

I rolled my eyes, not even my nigga.

Sitting back, I waites until the preacher finished.

I could feel eyes on me every so often, but I didn't bother to take it serious.

Oh how I wish I did.

"Kody, would you like to say a few words?" Preacher Mike called out to me and I looked around at the few people here and then nodded my head.

Standing to my feet, I pulled down my dress ans grabbed ahold of Demon's hand.

He looked at me confused but followed me.

As I looked out in front of these people, I couldn't help but feel like my life would be messed up from this day forward.

I cleared my throat and began to speak.

"Uhm Hi, I'm Kody; Grandma Nina's only granddaughter.. and I just wanna start off by saying thank you to everyone who came out - we all appreciate it."
