As Matty kissed him again, the telephone rang.

"Welcome home, honey."

She picked up her suitcase.

"You better get that. We don't need Henry having a heart attack, like the old lady."

"Hello."

The telephone went dead in Bill's hand.

"Goodbye to you, Henry."

"What was that about?" Matty asked as she walked out of the bedroom.

"Henry is all in a panic. He wants to meet with us in an hour."

Matty kissed Bill quickly on the lips.

"Welcome home darling. I think the children missed us."

She took his hand.

"Help me get unpacked and we will go visit the kids."

When Matty and Bill arrived at the Mayor's office, Henry, John and Joyce were already there, along with Clayton Rideout.

After greeting everyone, Bill and Matty sat down.

"Wes 'as a crisis on our 'ands," Henry began.

Suddenly all four were talking at once.

Bill and Matty both lit cigarettes.

"You want to?" Bill asked.

Matty nodded.

"Shut the fuck up," she yelled.

She puffed on her cigarette as the four quietened down.
