Ch. 19: Ambushed!!

TWO DAYS LATER

Several days have passed since Kouya had first met Shisui. However, Kouya still couldn't get her out of his mind. Eventually, as he and the rest of Mugen were walking around the streets of Shin-Majima, he decided to tell his friends about the mysterious maiden.

-Streets 6:17 PM-

"Huh? Shisui?" Said Rock.

Kouya and the rest of Mugen were roaming around the streets of Shin-Majima, with Kouya talking about his encounter with the enigmatic Shisui just a few hours ago.

"Yeah... she told me about how she wants to save her brother." Said Kouya. "But when I offered my help, she refused. She said she doesn't want anyone else to be harmed by her."

"Hmm... this Shisui girl seems like a real piece of work." Risa replied.

"You think? I mean, I think she's just misunderstood." Said Kouya. "Still, somehow, I still want to help her out."

"Hehehe... still the same old Kouya, it seems." Risa replied.

"What do you mean by that?" Said Kouya.

"Oh, nothing~." Risa replied

It was then that Shiki and Nina decided to butt in on the conversation.

"Whichever way Kouya is going to... I shall follow him." Said Shiki.

"Whoa there, Shiki! I haven't said anything final yet..." Kouya replied.

"Hmph. You boys are so reckless." Said Nina. "And dumb. Oh, and recklessly dumb too."

"Now, now, Ninny. That's not very nice..." Said Rock.

"Hmph... urchin-head." Said Nina.

Suddenly, Nina's words triggered Kouya.

"What did you just say...?!" Said Kouya.

"I said what I said, urchin-head." Nina replied, before pulling her eyelid and sticking her tongue out.

"Why you...! Nobody insults my glorious Kaminari spikes and gets away with it!" Said Kouya. "Come here, you!"

"Hmph! Come and catch me, if you can, urchin-head! Nyahaha!" Nina replied.

Nina then runs around the place, prompting Kouya to chase her.

"Ehehehe..." Said Risa, with an embarrassed smile on her face.

Rock facepalms, while Shiki sighs.

However, it was then that the group suddenly found themselves surrounded by a group of trenchcoat-clad men.

"What the...?" Said Kouya.

One of the trenchcoat-clad men steps forward as he proceeds to ask Kouya a question.

"You are... Kouya Kaminari, right?" Said one of the trenchcoat-clad men. "We have a few questions to ask you."

The trenchcoat-clad men surround the Mugen gang as they try to interrogate Kouya for vital information.

"Tch... these goons again?!" Said Rock.

"What the hell do the need from us this time?" Risa added.

"No idea, but whatever it is, we won't let them have their way." Kouya replied. "Right, guys?"

"Right!" Said all four of them in unison.

Each of the five youngsters prepare themselves for their incoming attacks: Kouya releases an electric charge from his body to his hands with Shockmaster, Risa snaps her fingers to spark the flames of the Firestarter, Rock crouches down and places his hand on the concrete to utilize Rockshifter, Shiki extends his hand to initiate Shadowcaster, and Nina bends on one knee and unscrews the water bottles in her ankles and fetches her pen from her jacket, preparing herself to unleash the streams of the Watercharmer.
