I would like to talk to you all about something serious that we just discovered.

About a week ago, a user under the name @Blackfire33 approached us with a review request for one of her books. Among a lot of other requests, this one book lay buried for sometime.

The book's name was Expulsion #7.

Writing a review for this book was so particularly hard, due to the fact that I couldn't find a Single. Mistake. Anywhere. I had to read the book twice to find some minuscule mistakes. Apart from that, the book was the epitome of perfect. No typos, no grammatical errors, smooth plot and character development. I had never read such a unique plot anywhere else.

Or that's what I thought until today.

After publishing my review for that book today, one of our reviewers pointed out that she had read a similar story elsewhere. Though we dismissed those views at first, soon she came with proof.

Apparently there was a published book on Goodreads with the same plot. Word for word. Only the title differed. The author was a certain Jade Blue, and from the blurb, it looked exactly the same. The plot, the character's names, the lot.

Of course, it could've been just a misunderstanding

Of course, it could've been just a misunderstanding. Maybe the same author could've been posting her story on Wattpad, no matter how far fetched that sounded. But then, this happened.

She changed her username to @StarrlovesBTS.

Now I was sure that she had probably plagiarised the book. After a while, we found that she unpublished the entire book from her account.

If you take a close book in the above image, you'll notice that there are only two published stories, in spite of it showing three

If you take a close book in the above image, you'll notice that there are only two published stories, in spite of it showing three. You'll find the same if you go to her profile (read the edit at the end). There were only these few announcements regarding the book.

Also, on searching further, we found that her book was formerly named A Girl in a Boy's school

Also, on searching further, we found that her book was formerly named A Girl in a Boy's school. The same title of the original novel.

Right now, we're about to report the author for what she did. Plagiarism is a crime, no matter how you do it. Writers spend their time writing their hearts out, to let their voices be known in the World, and people like @StarrlovesBTS spoil those efforts of writers to do just that. All of us are here on Wattpad to do the same. If the same were to happen to any of you, to feel like the hours of hard work that you put into finishing your work had gone to waste, what would you have done?

Here at our account, we are taking a stand against this. From now on, if it is found that your submissions are plagiarised in any manner, we won't tolerate it and will be reporting it immediately.

There are plenty of other ways to advertise your works. Do not consider this account to be one of them. Our goal is to support rising writers, not advertise plagiarised ones.

~DNA.

Edit:

I had completed this chapter yesterday, but had decided to add the pictures today morning, as they weren't loading up properly yesterday. After adding all the pictures, I tried searching for the account again. And guess what happened?

She changed her username again.

I had no clue of where to find that profile again. I had followed her from my account yesterday, but somehow, it has magically vanished from my following list. I searched for some of her books, but none of them were on Wattpad anymore. And therefore, we have reached a dead end again.

To @StarrlovesBTS, if you ever get to read this chapter, from whichever account you're on right now, all I've got to say is, these are just speculations of ours. You were considered innocent, until you changed your username. If you are innocent, we'll be apologizing for what we did, but ONLY after you inform us why you had unpublished your book and changed your username twice.

I hope you are understanding the weight of your actions. Because, as you're doing this, you are:
1. Belittling the efforts of the actual author of this book.
2. Wasting the time of multiple people, to whom you've applied for reviews.

And in the future, just try to rectify your mistakes.
