It's felt like a century since Dennis had seen anyone out on the streets. Ordinary people disappeared faster than how fast the grass grew. Dennis didn't want any part of trying to search for people. The buildings were too dark and there was no telling on how many infected were grouped up inside.
Despite the lost objective of trying to gather survivors, Dennis continued to live his life the best he could. He takes his dog, Oscar out to hunt. During the day, there was not much of a threat from the infected, so it was a perfect time to hunt whatever was galloping through the tall grass plains of what used to be New York City. The city that never sleeps never lost its slogan.
At night, every nightmarish thing crawls out into the open. It was never safe. The night is the peak of danger and risk.
