You were one of Josh's closest friends and had introduced him to your new boyfriend for the first time. Josh, who was completely in love with you, did not like him at all.

"So, what did you think of him?"
"I didn't like him."
Your smile fell instantly. It wasn't as though you needed Josh's approval, but it definitely meant a lot to you. "Well, how come?"
"Trust me, he isn't right for you."
You scoffed. "And who may I ask is right for me?"
Josh paused, before answering. "Me."
"You like me?"
He blushed but nodded quietly.
"Josh, you should have told me earlier. I liked you too, but I'm with somebody now. I'm so sorry."

A few days passed and your boyfriend broke up with you, explaining that he was only using you to make his ex jealous. You were heartbroken at being used, but it did mean one thing. You and Josh could finally date.
You rushed to his house and slammed open the front door, seeing Josh sitting on the steps.
"Josh, I'm in love with you!"
He ran towards you and brought his lips to yours. Your cheeks blushed pink.
As he pulled away, he smiled at you. "I'm in love with you too, (Y/N)."
