"Thanks" Diana smiled . Diana had a lot more bags than Anne . She had about five , Anne took three and Diana took two to the wagon. The three women jumped onto the wagon and started to talk their experience at queens. They had so many stories and Marilla just drove and listened the whole time.

They had dropped Diana off at her house. It was hours later , Marilla had placed the plates and cups on the table with the special dinner she had made for Anne. Anne got the utensils down beside the two plates and sat down where she always sat.

"I have some news. Miss Stay has found me a position in teaching. It's in New York but not the city part. It's a private school all girls I think. I don't know if I want to take it though" Anne sighed and took a bite out of the steak Marilla made. Marilla made a shocked expression .

"Well are you going to take it?" She asked Anne . This was a heat opportunity for Anne . Anne just shrugged her shoulders .

"Do you know when Gilbert gets back?" Anne asked Marilla. She shook her head while eating her food. All Anne wanted was to see her fiancé again , it had been 6 months since the last time they saw each other.

"No . He hasn't told anyone. At least I don't think" Marilla said with a smirk. She hid the little smirk making sure Anne didn't see it. She saw the look on Anne's face , it was all sad and upset .

"I hope he'll come soon. I miss him so much" Anne sighed . She finished up her dinner and thanked Marilla. All she wanted to do was go upstairs into her old room , she missed it so.

"Good night Marilla" Anne said and blew her a kiss goodnight . She stepped up the stairs . When she opened her bedroom door a rush of memories came back to her. Matthew giving her first puffed sleeved dress , Diana and Anne playing princesses and so much more. She smiled and laid down in her old bed. She couldn't believe she was home . She was actually home.

"So she really doesn't know right?" Gilbert Asked Diana. Diana shook her head and smiled to Fred. Fred didn't really understand what was happening because Diana hadn't told him but he was fine . They were in their carriage riding to anne. She was in a flower field admiring the flowers and the trees.

"Woah woah" Fred said to the horse to make it stop. Gilbert looked at Diana and she nodded her head . He took a deep breath and jumped off. He saw Anne running through all the flowers , laughing . When she turned around she paused , Gilbert was walking towards her slowly . Anne was still standing there , she couldn't believe her eyes. Was it actually him?

She starting running towards him.

"Gilbert!" Anne yelled went she got close to him. "Carrots" he said right before Anne step on her tip toes and kissed him. She's been waiting for this moment for months which felt like years.

"Oh how I've missed you" Anne said with a happy tear falling down her pale face. Gilbert nodded his head with a huge smile plastered across his face. He caressed her freckled face. He stared into her ocean blue eyes , he'd been waiting for this moment and he couldn't be more happier .

"So what's new?" Gilbert Asked Anne. They were walking in the forest as they always do. They walked hand in hand towards the school house. Anne knew that today was the last day of school at the school house and Anne just had to talk with miss Stacy.

"Well , Miss Stacy has offered me a teaching job" Anne said with a smile. Gilbert's head turned towards Anne with a shocked face. "Wait really? That's amazing!" Gilbert said trying to boost up Anne's spirit. He could see she wasn't that happy with it.

"It's not here. It's in New York. But I can take anyone" Anne said hinting to Gilbert. Gilbert obviously didn't take the hint because he looked confused.

"Gil! I'm asking you to come with me" anne laughed after a while of silence. She was giving him time to understand what she was saying. Once she told him his mouth dropped open.

"Are you sure?" He asked seeing that the school house was up a head. Anne nodded her head fully aware of what she was agreeing to.

"So why are we going to the school house?" Gilbert Asked Anne. She stopped her fiancé from walking. She turned her whole body towards Gilbert.

"Well .  I'm telling her that I'm taking the job and I just need to see her" Anne said . All the kids started to come out of the door . Anne turned her head and saw miss Stacy waving goodbye to all the little kids .

"Come on" Anne grabbed Gilbert's hand and pulled him closer to miss Stacy.

"Anne , Gilbert. Congrats on your engagement. I still owe Cole money . Anyways it's very good to see you two. What can I do for you?" Miss Stay said with a warm welcoming smile. Anne took a deep breath excited on what she was about to say .
