My Reflection Doesn't Lie

"I'm sorry so Kaiya.. What about Sasuke?" Sumire directing Kaiya's attention to the other Uchiha. 

"Sasuke-san? He's Sarada's dad. Tho in the photo where I saw my mom he too was in there with others. Maybe My mom hired him and the two men to protect her? Or maybe they were a team? Still if I were to be Sasuke-sans child why would he not acknowledge me like he does with Sarada? Why wouldn't I have the Uchiha name? It only make sense if... Itachi was my father.. My mother Karin hired Sasuke-san to protect her from my father.. then when I was born she gave me to my Aunt and Uncle.  For I would take on the Uzumaki name."  Kaiya didn't have anything else to say, there was nothing else. It was simple. Why her parents weren't in her life. 

"Your mom gave you up to your Uncle and Aunt in order to protect you from your own dad?.. I don't know. I mean it does make sense but still. If Sasuke was your dad why would he not claim you as his own?" Sumire holding her chin and using her science loving brain to think of a solution. " Why not ask Sasuke Kaiya? About your mom? To see if your suspicion's are true? Sasuke would tell you if he was protecting your mom from Itachi or not? Maybe try that." 

Sumire like always had a calm aura to her and knew how to diffuse any situation, kindly she handed a soft tissue to her friend. Grabbing the book and stuffing it into Kaiya's bag which she brought and had the cloak belonging to Sasuke. Handing it to Kaiya. 

"I believe everything will work itself out Kaiya-chan. I mean thats what you told me when I first join the Leaf's science team right? Look at me now! Top scientist in Forensics!" Sumire proudly sticking her chin up and her arms cross. 

"Sumire.. this is different tho. I mean what if it just gets worst from here?" Kaiya still skeptic of seeing the light on the matter. 

"Different or not. Its about you Kaiya, if things do get worst and you are about to fall.. no doubt  the ones who love you the most, will be the ones to catch and pick you back up." Sumire with the most enlighten smile comforted Kaiya. Giving Kaiya the courageous she needed. 

"Arigatou.. Sumire."

Karin Pov.

The mid afternoon carried a quite of few mild winds and cloudy skies as Karin walk through the Konoha forest.  Karin always hated the wind when it made her red threaded hair go crazy and then afterwards left with a whole bunch of knots.  It had been a pain to brush out. 

Without any direction Karin found herself walking upon a familiar place, a cliff with such a beautiful view. The same one from that night. How could something be so beautiful but hold such a tragic memory? 

In the far distance, there the Leaf village stood up in the rocky hillside, somewhat the great stone faces can be seen from where Karin stand. Karin took a moment to indulge in its beauty, remembering all of her cherish times in the Hidden Leaf. 

Before it was where she was held a prisoner, than the very place where Karin first heard she would be a mom, getting married to Sasuke, the village became a place where she would call home. Funny how stuff like that works. The ironi. 

It didn't matter now, Karin only just wanted one last time to remember while starring at the Leaf's late summer beauty. It was still her favorite time of year.  For she would be departing in order to find Sasuke. 

"I must get going if I want to be on track with things." Karin said as she threw on her cloak followed by covering her head and face with the hood. Backing up backwards as Karin slowly turn away from the cliff's view and disappear into dense woods.

Leaving her most happiest times behind...
