Chapter 29: Forgive and Forget

Sanantha's pov

Keithlin slammed the door and left without another word.

I was so shocked. I never thought that Keithlin would go crazy. How could she think that I would do such a thing? I'm her friend! Insinuating things! She is supposed to believe me and support me!

I looked at Jake and then at Ian.

"Jake, tell Ian what we were talking about." I said desperately.  

Ian had to know by now. He is Jake's best friend after all. 

Jake looked at Ian. "Dude, we're telling the truth. I was asking Samantha's opinion on the date I talked to you about. Sami gave me really great ideas. I mean, go skating? I wouldn't have guessed she liked that."

Ian seemed to quickly realize what happened. "That figures. Sorry I doubted you guys. I'm so sorry Sami. Keithlin looked really convincing. It's like if what she said was right. She really believes what she saw was something else."

I laughed nervously. "I think I know why she might have thought that. After Jake told me, I got so happy that I hugged him giggling like mad. She must have thought wrongly about it. Sorry."

Ian came and hugged me tight giving me a soft kiss before letting go. "You have nothing to be sorry about."

We were going to kiss again but Taylor waved a hand between us.

"Um, I'm lost here. What date?"

My eyes winded and looked at Jake. He is the one with the secret. He made me cross my heart! 

Jake sighed. "Taylor, you have to swear you won't tell anyone." He scratched the back of his head.

Taylor nodded slowly. "Yeah, but only if it's a good thing. If you killed someone, I'm telling the cops. It's justice. Deal with it."

I chuckled and winked at her. "I promise it's good news. Really good."

Taylor rolled her eyes. "Okay then. Shoot."

Jake gulped and went straight to the point. "I like Keithlin."

Taylor's eyes widenened. "Ahhh- Um- Oh-- Give us both a moment."

Jake frowned. "I just told you my secret. You expect me to let you go without seeing your reacti-"

"Yes! Sami, hurry!" Taylor interrupted.

She took my hand and pulled me upstairs to my room. When we were inside, she locked the door and went crazy.

"Oh my God! Oh my God! Ahhhh! Oh God! Samantha!" Taylor took me by the shoulders and started jumping. "He likes Keithlin! And Keithlin likes Jake! Ahhhh! This is so exciting!"

I decided to join in on her enthusiasm by jumping with her like a mad woman. "I know! Ahhh!"

The both of us giggled like mad. After we controlled ourselves, I explained what I thought Keithlin saw Jake and I do.

"See. Imagine what I felt when Jake told me. So I hugged Jake, in the process, landing on the bed slightly on top of him." I explained to Taylor. "Honestly, I completely understand her point of view.  I would have thought the same thing."

She nodded. "You're innocent to the case in quesiton. Notw, the more important question is, what are we going to do about Keithlin?"

I smiled. "I have an idea. But we need to discuss it with Jake first. He's the one that will do his magic. We call Sara too. She must get updated on this. Hunter should also be informed."
