Chapter 13: Bro' and sis' time

A few weeks have passed. It's October and as Halloween knocks at your door, everybody decorates their houses, while candies are everywhere you go.

There hasn't been any problems lately, not even with the kiss incident with Jake and Keithlin. In fact, Keithlin and Jake talk more than before.

The girls and I interrogated her to see what happened that day with that kiss. Keithlin just said that it just happened. Yeah right, just happened my butt! There must be something else we don't know about.

It's been totally ok with Ian and me. Last week he took me to eat some pizza. We had a great time!

Sara hasn't forgiven us for the dress thing, which we told her a million, no, a billion times sorry!

The girls and I told her that she just ruined all good moments with her screams. Sara agreed she did ruin moments, but she said that wasn't any excuse to make her dress like a bitch and get humiliated.  Even thought we reassured her she looked hot, she didn't take the compliment. We laughed at that expression, she only frowned. Like I said, she hasn't forgiven us.

Taylor and Hunter are back to being just friends and Taylor decided to take it all slow, remembering our bet of being the last one to get her guy.  I still think she can get him before Sara finds a guy, but we understand the emotional web inside her, so it's ok.

Andrew hasn't appeared near us like last time, good thing for Taylor. Since that incident Taylor started to act... reserved. Some times we find her drifting into intense thoughts. We have talked to her and she just tells us that she needs a little more time to deal with her stress.

But, in my case, Antonio has appeared. Well... at least not phisically, I thank God for not being physically.

The week after the mall visit, I recieved a call without a caller ID. I picked up and was surprised when it was Antonio. I lied that I had to go to dinner and that I couldn't talk right then. I thought it was going to only be once and forgot about it, but I was wrong.

A few days later he called me again, but I didn't answer. He's called me around five times, but I never answer. Never did and never will.

Ian has already told me that if he bothers me he'll take care of it. He doesn't know Antonio calls me. I don't want Ian to worry. Antonio is freaky, but not to be taken seriously... I hope. Right?

Ian comes and goes every Saturday home and chitchats with my mom. He is taking the first steps to our plan. I think it's working, like last week:

" 'Oye, Sami, y ese chico, es de buena familia? (Hey, Sami, and that boy...  Does he come from a good family?)' ".  Mom asked me on the table. We had just finished dinner and started to talk about school, when Ian came into the conversation.

"Yeah. Ian is Sara's cousin.'' I tell her.

" 'Oh. Es muy apuesto... (oh. He's really handsome...)" mom said raising both eyebrows.

I blushed and nodded.  ''Yeah. He is.''

" 'Además, él es muy educado. El último sábado que comimos con él, se ofreció para fregar los platos. Tuve que negarlo como diez veces para que no lo hiciera. Es un buen chico. (Plus, he is really polite. Last Saturday, that we ate dinner with him, he offered to wash the dishes! I had to deny the offer like ten times so he wouldn't do it! He is a great guy.)" Mom fnished with a distant look.
