I wish there would be a time
where the love songs wouldn't picture your name
where the bench could fit me perfectly all by myself
where I could ice skate without your hands in my grip
I wish there would be a time
where I could see the stars without you again
where I could paint the canvas without your favourite colour
where the vanity could hold my reflection just fine without your figure by my side
I wish there would be a time
where my hands aren't itching for your touch
where my tears could be wept without your fingers
where my bed does not make space for you anymore
I wish
There's a way for me to erase you gently
without taking the pills that hurt my head
Erasing you, was never easy
Erasing you meant doing things I shouldn't be doing
like watching the stars in the balcony
like running my hands through the other side of the bed
and idling the ring you put on my finger
After skimming through the chapters of my life that I had spent with you
I figured
that there are too many traces of your footprints on my heart
Too many
until I am no longer capable of erasing them
