the Parseltongue of a Parselmouth
with the Parsel-heart.
not of Potter parents,
just of basic parts.
her words are her power,
her brain, the magic wand.
the house she gets sorted into
is the house that she wants.
her world may have
no Platform nine and three quarters,
but her eyes be primed
not to scowl at what's tragic,
but to spree at all
the pretty places of magic.
