inside the snowglobe

Dance into the starlight
where the sun shines in reverse.
Swallowed is the city
built in muffled heartburns.

For too long now,
I have lived inside this chest.
The perfect paradise of perma-smiles
and perpetual shotguns, firing
on repeat,
caressing these aching bones to sleep.
