my mind and I,
we're not friends.
she forces this body
to all these worst case scenarios
and whisper lies coated in truth:
unneeded
unwanted
unnecessary
I am not an enemy here.
I'm sure this mind isn't too.
I just don't know how
to undo the cruelty.
