•Matthew?•

"Carrots? What time is it?" Gilbert yawned and his eyes shut pretty quickly when he saw the sun. Anne laughed at Gilbert and said " I guess you're not really a morning person huh?" Gilbert shook his head and pulled the blankets overtop of him.

"Come on. We need to catch the earliest train to Charlottetown. We don't want to make it any later" Anne pulled Gilbert's arm as he groaned . He finally gave in and went downstairs to let Anne change. As she came down she sighed hoping that Matthew would be alright . She saw Gilbert looking around in the kitchen for food.

"What are you doing?" Anne asked with a little laugh. Gilbert put his hands on his hips.

"Looking for food to cook. We can't leave with an empty stomach" Gilbert saw the room where they stored their food and went to fetch something to cook. Anne shook her head "I'm not that hungry" .

"Well I'll make you something anyways. I know you'll get hungry some point today" Gilbert came back out with some eggs and shrugged his shoulders. "How hard could it be to make egg right?" Anne laughed and got up from sitting at the kitchen table to help Gilbert out.

Anne looked up and saw Jerry . "Good morning Jerry" Jerry waved at Anne and sat down at the table.

"Smells bon" Jerry had a small smile . He was rather upset about Matthew too.

"It does. Even though Gilbert has never made eggs before I think they'll be great" Anne smiled as she grabbed two plates for the boys. She grabbed an apple for the ride listening to Gilbert's words.

"Almost ready. Hope you're hungry Jerry" Gilbert looked over his shoulder to a sad Jerry. He sighed and took the eggs out. "They seem to be cooked right?" He showed them to anne and she nodded her head. Neither of them were the best at cooking anything .

"Here I'll get it myself. Je peux commence sur le farm soon" Jerry said while stuffing the eggs in his mouth. He put a thumbs up to Gilbert .

"I guess once you're done we should start heading to the train station" Anne said . Gilbert nodded his head trying to think of what to do for Anne.

Anne and Gilbert had been sitting on the bench out side of the train station for about five minutes waiting for the train. Anne put her head on Gilbert's shoulder.

"You know , this is the first place I met Matthew. He had came to fetch me. I'll never forget it" Anne smiled remembering it. Gilbert kissed the top of her head and held her hand. They saw the train coming up ahead and got up to wait for it.

Once they had gotten on the train Gilbert sat down and Anne sat down right beside him. She took out the apple and took a bite out of it. Gilbert chuckled and said " see I told you you'd be hungry" . Anne rolled her eyes playfully and saw a familiar face on the train.

"Why is that Rachel?" Anne asked Gilbert. He looked where Anne was looking at and nodded his head " I believe so".

Rachel had noticed the two on the train and got up out of her seat to come sit with them.

"Why isn't it a surprise to see you two here" Rachel said with a laugh. The couple smiled to her.

"If I may ask, where are you going?" Anne looked at Gilbert motioning that she couldn't really say it.

"Well we found out something about Matthew. Him and Marilla went to Charlottetown last night after the graduation. We're going there now" Gilbert said as Rachel looked rather shocked . She placed her hand on her chest . "My my , poor Matthew. Do you know what happened?" She Asked with concern.

"All we know is that it has something to do with his heart. Anne told me he had problems with his heart before" Rachel nodded her head while looking at Anne.
