Chapter 47

Manik sat on the chair and Nandini sat beside him.

Manik: Maa, Where is Mukti?

Niyonika: She left early today. She said there is a project.

Manik nodded and looked at Nandini who was serving him. As she was done he served her. She resisted at first but than who could fight against her stubborn husband?

They were about to start when Raj stopped them.

Raj: Before starting Me and your Mom has to say something important

Nandini: What happened, Dad?

Cabir: Anything serious, Mom?

Manik was silent. He had an idea what was the "somthing important" and he was indeed right as he saw his father smiling at him.

Niyonika: It is very serious, Cabir. You need to call Navya Mumbai.

Nandini looked at Manik and he nodded making her smile brightly.

Cabir: (frown) Navya? Why Mom?

Raj: Cabir, Are you planning to get married without your bride?

Cabir: (shocked and surprised) Married? Bride? (happily) Are you guys serious!?

They nodded and he immediately stood up and walked to Niyonika. He hugged her tightly and than Raj.

Cabir: Thankyou Mom, Dad. I will talk to her.

Niyonika: All thanks to Manik, Cabir. He made Raj understand who in return talked to me.

Cabir looked at Manik who smiled at him. He mouthed a thankyou to him and Manik shaked his head in no.

Manik: Anything for you, bro.

Cabir happily sat on his chair and served himself more. Others laughed seeing him doing so.

They finished their breakfast while talking to each other and than stood up to go to their respective works.

Cabir almost ran to his room to inform Navya while Raj walked to his room followed by Niyonika leaving Nandini and Manik alone.

Nandini: You talked to Dad and didn't even tell me.

Manik: (Guilty) Sorry. It really slipped out of my mind.

She shooked her head and held his arm.

Nandini: Manik, It will be my first wedding here and even as a married woman.

He cupped her cheek and nodded in yes, agreeing with her.

Manik: You know you will be the best bhabhi to Cabir.

Nandini smiled but didn't say anything. They were suddenly interrupted by Niyonika's voice. They looked up and saw both Raj and Niyonika coming.

Raj was saying something in her ear and she was blushing and trying to push him.

Manik: Dad! Why are you troubling my Maa?

Raj: (under his breathe) Loh agya Maa ka chamcha!

Niyonika: Raj! Mere bete ke baare mei kuch mat khaiye.

Raj: Yeah now go and take his side! Why can't you take my side for once.

Hearing their banter Nandini's eyes widen. She mentally slapped her forehead as she noticed Manik looking at her with accusing eyes.

Four days back she had pacified him with great difficulty and made him forget the matter but now seeing his accusing eyes she knew he realized how she tricked him.
